Hi everyone, i'm doing ok I think (hope) most days using nearly all 15 syns but i'm ill and hungry at the moment so would be happy with a little loss! Throat is soooo sore i'm drinking lots of milky (skimmed) tea, seems to sooth it better than water. Todays menu EE again!

B - Poached eggs on toast (HEB) with Bacon and tea (1)
L - Cheesy Omlette (only used 21g of low fat CC so 1/2 HEA) Golden wonder lights (4.5) Tes (1)
D - Salmon with SW wedges, peas and baby corn

Might have another tea (1) later with an alpen light (3) so would be 10.5 syns for the day....does that seem ok , does anyone else use 15 syns a day??? I have quite a lot to lose so thought this would be ok??

Sorry you're not feeling well. Have you tried having blackcurrant juice (sugar-free) with hot water? It was something I always gave my kids and they swear by it for a sore throat.

Your syns are there for you to enjoy so don't worry about using them all. When you get near to your target, you may need to cut them down a little in order to get good weight losses, but if you're losing regularly now, carry on as you are.

    Get well soon:)

I have a couple of questions please:
    • does anyone have the recipe for the Homity pie you all keep talking about? They didn't have the maggo when I shopped yesterday:mad:
    • does anyone know why the Syn value is so high for pittas? I know that maybe the bought ones are higher, but I make my own at home. All there is in the recipe is 1lb 2oz flour, salt, yeast, water & 1 teasp oil - & this makes 12 pittas which are cooked without any fat etc!

    Flour - 5 syns per 28gms (so 18 x 5 = 90 syns)
    Yeast - 2½ syns per 28gms
Oil - 2 syns per teaspoon

The standard 60 gm pitta is 7½ syns which I reckon works out about right doesn't it?

I don't 'do' cranberry or apple sauce either! Not even that keen on gravy if I can do without it :rotfl:

Hmmm haggis, neeps & tatties for a late Burn's Night tomorrow night :D (with no whisky gravy or fruit of ANY kind!)

Sounds good to me - and you've got another HEa or HEB to use up (the laughing cow can be HEa or HEb - and you can have more than one for your full allowance!) :D

Thanks again Skint_Catt, I seem to have my head around this diet. So much better that WW, hated being hungry! Got loads of energy today, must be all the fresh food:T.

Going to try the Homity pie tomorrow, just found the recipe in one of the above threads. Sounds lovely :p
