  • Good morning!! I weighed in this morning and I'm down two pounds! I'm quite happy with this as I only really started on Tuesday - but I prefer to keep Friday as my official weigh in day so I'll weigh in next Friday now again.
It's amazing how you can lose weight and basically be eating all the time!! I had lovely food yesterday again -
    EE
B: 2 x weetabix and skim milk (heb and 1/2 heb)
L: ham salad with pasta (loads of vegs)
D: chilli, ginger chicken stir fy with egg noods (really pleased with this because I love stir fry and have a great wok but usually use loads of oil so was really surprised how well it all came together using frylight) it was lush!
Syns: I'm afraid they went on a couple of glasses of wine! (I'm going to have to address this!! - change to vodka maybe LOL!!)

Exercise was a 45 minute spin class - love love love spin!! It was just my second ever class and I felt so much better this time.

I'm trying an original day today - we have guests coming to our house tonight - a going a way party - a friend is going to Califormia to live for a year so we're doing Mexican - my plan is nachos (which I won't eat *sigh*) fajitas (*ditto*) and chilli which I am going to make SW friendly - I'll fill up on that.

    So today:
B: grilled sausages, bacon, tomato, mushrooms and a frylight fried egg (hubby had beans with his)
L: not sure - I'm getting my hair done - probaby a salad of some kind
D: chilli (if I put beans in this can I have rice too - I don't think so???)
S: froot and yogs as needed...

No exercise today as I won't have time!
  • Morning All,

I had a much better day yesterday and even managed to go for a very hilly 5 1/2 mile walk/jog. My thighs ache today though so a trip to the gym for a swim and jacuzzi later may be in order.

I am having another green day:

B-poached eggs on toast with laughing cow light (again) HEA, HEB and 5 syns for the extra slice of toast
L - Left over Homity pie (which was delicious!!) with salad and fruit salad (6 syns for the cheese in the pie)
D - vegetable chilli and rice and small portion of angel delight (4 syns)
S - cups of tea (HEA), ryvita fruit crunch (HEB)

Hope you all have a good day!:)

Slimming world Restart 29/08/11 weight unknown?? 46 days until I go home :j

why dont you just do an EE day, that way you can fill up on rice and beans and chilli. If you were doing red you dont get many bans for a heb and I cant see another anyway, at least you will be full and not too restricted.
If you are doing red because you dont want to feel too bloated then you could still do EE and just have a little rice etc. If you really wanted healthy extras for cheese and bread then I would do red.
Sounds like a fund night, enjoy yourself, and welldone on your weight loss, you should have a really good loss by next Fri if youve lost 2lbs in a few days :T

  • I never thought about doing it just on EE d'oh!! I'll do that then!
  • Morning,
Well today was my first day after enrolling online yesterday - surprised myself by measuring my morning porridge - it's more than i usually have so enjoyed that!!! Can someone ponder if this would work? I bake for my family (egg/dairy free) so to work out a syn value, is it feasible to just add the syn values for all the ingredients and then divide by portions? Don't really want to change our diet too much - suspect my problem may be portions size (too much of some, not enough of others) and am looking for a lifelong eating habit as I change from a person with a very physically active job/life to one of more modest activity.
    Thanks,
    WCS

With regards to your cooking and dividing up syns - that is exactly what I do. With the morning porridge - did you weigh it dry before you cooked it? I find 28g such a miserly amount:o:o!! Starting to see where my problem is :rotfl:!

    Hi all:j

Well done on some terric weight losses & all the great ideas, I find it really helps (though I did put ON 1lb this week). Lots of trips away & having to eat out is the culprit methinks (that & not sticking to the plan all the time at home too of course):D

I have a couple of questions please:
    • does anyone have the recipe for the Homity pie you all keep talking about? They didn't have the maggo when I shopped yesterday:mad:
    • does anyone know why the Syn value is so high for pittas? I know that maybe the bought ones are higher, but I make my own at home. All there is in the recipe is 1lb 2oz flour, salt, yeast, water & 1 teasp oil - & this makes 12 pittas which are cooked without any fat etc??
Any help with these q's gratefully received:)

    So far today:

-B: your rice Marion with toffe ML & banana

    - L: Roasted red pepper hummus (HM) with salad & beetroot (maybe one pitta????)or use syns & have 2??

    - D: HM chilli with Quorn/pasta

    syns....depends on pitta consumption above
New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear
