nah dont worry your not weird. its amazing how everyone has such different tastes though. Another thing I hate but am kind of getting used to, is peas in stuff. Again I love peas on their own but hate them in mince or rice. But oh puts them in everything so i soldier through.
I think thats my parents fault, i remember sitting at the dinner table with cold mince and tatties (with peas) and not being allowed to leave until it was all finished. I was left on my own, it kept sticking in my throat, yuk.
Now with my kids I start to say, come on eat it all up, but then i remember how it made me feel, and I also believe thats why I have big portions and never leave anything on my plate. We used to always have bread and butter (white bread) with every meal. Ive only just got out of that habit in the last few years.
sorry it turned into a bit of a therapy session there, feel bad for blaming my mum and dad now.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Marion
Hi Marion, yes I measured it dry and it looked miserly to me, but made it up anyway as usual with equal volume of milk/water - promising myself that if it was pants i would add a second amount and add it to my syns, but once made it was a bowlful. This is only my first day but i'm quickly seeing where i've been going wrong - sandwiches for snacks for a start :rotfl:plus i love my own baking. Had porridge for breakfast and left over potatoes/peas/green beans heated with an egg for lunch and haven't felt hungry - obviously i need to make more sensible choices. I realise now how fortunate i've been never to have a weight problem before, but am feeling confident at the mo. Hard to believe that you can lose weight on such huge amounts of food, but we'll see.
Nice to meet you,

Hi everyone - am lurking a bit this week - combination of bonkers work week and bad cold. haven't been to the gymn since monday, and don't even miss it - so I must need some rest!:rotfl:Usually if I've missed a couple of days I get itchy feet.

Ewwwwww - meat & fruit DON'T GO! :rotfl:
Whoever asked about sharing the password - no it's not allowed & won't be possible soon anyway due to the classes going electronic.
Pitta generally doesn't have enough fibre in it to allow it to be a HEb - except these Asda ones so homemade ones will have to be synned.
Just had a naughty lunch with my ex-colleagues-sausage sarnie & chipspray for me! The gossip was cut short by a blizzard though! Stopped now but looks like someone's spilt polystyrene beads everywhere!
WHERE'S THE ROLLEYES SMILEY GONE? First the confused smiley now the rolleyes
Hope everyone's having a good day!

i have had a lovely day - went into town - first time since before xmas! bought myself some nice tops in the sale with a voucher i had, then went inot m&s food, as i had a credit note and bought a few bits and a meal deal for £10 - so i can have the wine after my weigh in on sunday, as my treat!
i have a question though, i asked for the count on us, low fat pork sausages and the assistant couldn't find them and gave me a packet of: 8 reduced fat butchers classic pork sausages and said they were the same, i have got home and looked them up, but cannot find them at all, i did the calculator thing online and they said they were 2 syns each!! i thought the low fat ones were only 0.5 each. does this seem right?
on the packet, it does say they are new & 78% pork & 90 cals each.slimming world start: 17.1.10 @ 200 lb's

Just made a rather delicious roasted butternut squash and red pepper syn free soup! mmm! I hope I have a decent loss this week, I'm starting to feel my jeans getting a bit looser, come on positive thinking! The asparagus and pea risotto was v good too, I put in one heA of parmesan, and one of low low because I didnt have enough parmesan...it made it very creamy, it's lovely.
All this pineapple talk, I'm quite hungry now.
For those who like jacket potatoes and shop at sainsburys the 'Vivaldi' type baking potatoes are so lovely, really creamy as far as butter-less potatoes go. If someone in the house has the oven on I pop mine in the microwave for a few minutes then put it in the oven to crisp up.0lbs/18lbs to get to club 100 -
The full fat Butchers sausages are 4.5 syns each - if theyre the same as the Count on Us then they are 0.5syns on red & EE. If the calculator says they are 2 syns each & you've used the free food allowance then they are 2 syns. Reduced fat sausages can range from free (Morrisons) to 5 depending on ingredients (breadcrumbs etc)

This is so true. A whole geberation of post-war children were brought up on the "eat it all up, musn't waste any" principle and I'm sure it's what made us (well, me anyway) eat such huge portions.
Like you, I tried not to do it with my own children, but it does go against the grain to leave anything on the plate. Thank goodness for the dog - though now she's getting a bit solid round the middle :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi everyone, i'm doing ok I think (hope) most days using nearly all 15 syns but i'm ill and hungry at the moment so would be happy with a little loss! Throat is soooo sore i'm drinking lots of milky (skimmed) tea, seems to sooth it better than water. Todays menu EE again!
B - Poached eggs on toast (HEB) with Bacon and tea (1)
L - Cheesy Omlette (only used 21g of low fat CC so 1/2 HEA) Golden wonder lights (4.5) Tes (1)
D - Salmon with SW wedges, peas and baby corn
Might have another tea (1) later with an alpen light (3) so would be 10.5 syns for the day....does that seem ok , does anyone else use 15 syns a day??? I have quite a lot to lose so thought this would be ok??Goal weight....lighter than when I started0
