well, i was right. it is now officially TOTM. and it is killing me. i feel bloated and sore and constantly hungry and craving bad food. My OH was sat eating an Aero last night (a chocolate bar that i dont even enjoy) and found mysef wanting to chomp his arm off to get to it! First time in 3 weeks on the plan that I have felt like this! :( Consultant had a few tips for me, so im gonna go back n re-read them and try to carry some out. anyone else with any tips are greatly recieved!! :)

i went yesterday to a butchers near me who are Slimming World certified and bought some sausages and beefburhers. My consultatnt talked to us about them at class, so they are legit. i enjoyed the sausages with my breakfast this morning! 2 pork&leek sausages = 1.5 syns! very worthwhile syns! :)

    Hi all:j

I have a couple of questions please:
    • does anyone have the recipe for the Homity pie you all keep talking about? They didn't have the maggo when I shopped yesterday:mad:
    • does anyone know why the Syn value is so high for pittas? I know that maybe the bought ones are higher, but I make my own at home. All there is in the recipe is 1lb 2oz flour, salt, yeast, water & 1 teasp oil - & this makes 12 pittas which are cooked without any fat etc??

cant help with the pitta im afraid, but here is the homity pie recipe:

Serves 4. Ready in approx 50 mins.

    Fry Light
    12oz/340g potatoes, peeled & chopped
    9oz/255g onions, chopped
    9oz/255g leeksm thinly sliced
    7oz/198g frozen peas
    2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    handful fresh prarley chopped
    handful fresh tyme chopped
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    3fl oz/85ml vegetable stock
6oz/170g reduced fat chedder cheese, grated
    Salt & pepper

    1. Preheat oven to 220C/425 F/Gas 7. Spray medium-szi ovenproof dish with frylight.
    2. Boil poratoes for 15-20 mins or until tender. Drain, return to pan and mash. Set aside until needed.
3.Spray large non-stick frying pan with Frylight and stir-fry the onions, leeks and peas over a medium heat for 6-8 minutes, or until all veg have softened.
    4. Ad the mash, garlic, parsley, thyme, eggs stock & half the cheese, season and stir to combine.
Spoon the mixture into the preprepared ovenproff dish and scatter over the remaining cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.

Syns per serving: Green Free (Add 6 syns if not using cheese as a Healthy Extra!)

    Hi all:j

Well done on some terric weight losses & all the great ideas, I find it really helps (though I did put ON 1lb this week). Lots of trips away & having to eat out is the culprit methinks (that & not sticking to the plan all the time at home too of course):D

I have a couple of questions please:
    • does anyone have the recipe for the Homity pie you all keep talking about? They didn't have the maggo when I shopped yesterday:mad:

Any help with these q's gratefully received:)

    So far today:

-B: your rice Marion with toffe ML & banana

    - L: Roasted red pepper hummus (HM) with salad & beetroot (maybe one pitta????)or use syns & have 2??

    - D: HM chilli with Quorn/pasta

    syns....depends on pitta consumption above

Re the pitta thing, you can now have one asda wholemeal (55g i think) as an heb.Otherewise just add up the total syn value of the ingredients you use and then devide by the number of portions to get the individual syn value:D
