well I haven't posted on here in a while, everytime I come to check up by the time I've caught up reading it all I'm shattered and ready for bed!! lol!! Decided to check earlier tonight!! I'm not feeling too motivated at the moment.... not really sticking to the plan 100%... not eating enough and filling up on syns and stuff. However my main meals are all SW friendly so if I've stayed the same this week (WI Tomorrow) I'll be dead chuffed. I'm at the stage where I don't really know how much more weight I want to loose to achieve target. I think maybe half a stone or so but I feel not really that bothered and so not really motivated. My consultant suggested a great trick for me as I find if I plan a whole week ahead it just goes to pot so she suggested planning one day at a time, the evening before, but I haven't even been doing that. I will try and do so from now onwards and see if that can help at all.

Well done to everyone though and you're all giving me good inspiration for recipes.

Using the SW mag loads at mo. Did the steak/prawn meal on Sat, the ghoulash tonight and tackling homity pie tomorrow.

Still struggling to believe that I am on a diet really but I suppose its more of a lifestyle change.

I have been doing EE but if I am cooking the homity pie is it better to make it a green day? Will that mean that I can still have the milk in my tea from my allowance and also the cheese in the homity pie both as HEA?

Hi all, just started SW so hope I can join in?

Its my 1st weigh in tomorrow, I don't feel that I've been on a diet at all, and in fact I hate the word diet, I keep calling it my healthy eating plan!

I do need to get the hang of it a bit more though, I've been doing EE every day, but that's mainly because I don't have to worry about anything but the A and B choices, so will perhaps ask for a bit more clarification in class tomorrow.

I'll report back after WI tomorrow...!

It's lovely to see all these newby's on board at the mo - welcome to all of you :)

Catsy - you seem to be at the top of a slippery slope at the moment. Filling up on syns is not a good idea (as I'm sure you know). Maybe it would be a good idea for you to sit and think about what drove you to SW in the first place. Being close to target tends to have this effect on people, but if you follow through, your target will get further away instead of closer. I hope you don't think I'm picking, just hope this helps. :)

Oh well - just got back n- they weighed me in at 13st 7.5lb!!!!!!

Never been that heavy in my life, even when I was pregnant with a 10lb baby!

The consultant recognised me from 7 years ago, even though my name has changed - I was impressed. The set up has changed too, all computerised, got another card for my purse - just as well I've closed down my Capital One card (thanks to this site!) so I have a space all ready for it. The red/green/extra easy. a and b choices are different to what I was used to before, but I'm sure I will get the hang of it.

Might do some yogurt and rice ready for the morning - or be lazy and have weetabix!

Thank you to everyone for your kind comments - onwards and upwards (or should that be downwards!) :D
    :j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

I do green days as I'm veggie. Have some asparagus in the fridge, and have a full day at home tomorrow, so think I might make an asparagus and pea pearl barley risotto.

melda - do you have a recipe for the risotto? I've never made risotto before and I'd fancy asparagus and pea :). Just gotta find some risotto rice, they have been out of stock in tesco, asda and morrisons here for 2 weeks!!

Best of luck! Just a quick hint about the yogurt and rice - it tastes a lot better when it is freshly made and nice and warm. Once it gets cold it sets hard and isn't so yummy!

Something that you can prepare now for breakfast is 28gm of uncooked porridge oats mixed with a yogurt. Cover and leave in the fridge overnight. The porridge will soak up the yogurt and it goes nice and soft and creamy. Add some fruit to it in the morning and enjoy!

Gutted!! First weigh in today and only lost 1/2lb :(. I haven't done sw before so struggled to get my head around it. I kept a loose record of my eating but need to write it down daily and weekly! Will try hard again this week and have just been out running/walking for 3 miles!

Any advice for a new starter?
