    Marions Rice:

Cook 1/2 cup of pudding rice in 1 cup of water for about 20 minutes (I use my remoska). Remove from heat put into a bowl, add fruit and a complementing muller yogurt and mix together! ie rice with sliced banana and toffee yogurt, rice with frozen blueberrys and a blueberry yogurt, rice with mandarin segments (chopped) and mandarin yogurt. For best results eat straight away while it is nice and warm! Tastes really nice and is very very filling! Also free on SW green and EE so can be made any time you fancy it really!

    Love
    Marion

Thanks - thats great. Sorry for post above. This has answered all my questions. Will keep it safe now :D

Marions answered it - but it doesn't matter how much water. As with normal rice when it's cooked you drain it off. Just keep tasting the grains until they're softish.

Thanks for this. Just fancy a change for breakfast and couldn't find the right rice in Tesco. I got Asda short-grain pudding rice. Thats the one thats free, is that right?

Anyone else got any recommendations for which Muller and what fruit tastes the best?

Other than toffee with banana and chocolate with banana I find that matching ones give the best taste. Strawberries with strawberry yogurt, blueberries with - well you get the picture!
I don't drain my pudding rice by the way. I use double the amount of water to rice and cook it till the water is more or less absorbed. This gives a more creamy taste than when it is boiled and drained. Hope this helps!

wow, this is a quick moving thread.

I like the idea of Marion's rice - would risotto rice work the same way - isn't it more or less the same thing as pudding rice?

I've just had a half portion of (free) shepherd pie so I'm not totally starving when we arrive at the restaurant tonight and scoff everything in sight. It really was yummy too.
not sure where we are eating tonight but I'll keep the plans in mind hen ordering

    Evening all,

I'm wondering what to cook for tea tonight? something quick, light and easy as OH had a dodgy tum yesterday....

I haven't eaten much today, a mullerlight and club biscuit bar this morning, left over spag bol for lunch and 3 choco leibniz biccies this afternoon with several cups of tea. I forgot I didnt have any fruit left at work so I was a bit gutted!

I havent had my HEb yet so I'm thinking SW chip sarnie later! mmmmmm
