wow, this is a quick moving thread.

I like the idea of Marion's rice - would risotto rice work the same way - isn't it more or less the same thing as pudding rice?

I've just had a half portion of (free) shepherd pie so I'm not totally starving when we arrive at the restaurant tonight and scoff everything in sight. It really was yummy too.
not sure where we are eating tonight but I'll keep the plans in mind hen ordering

Yes you can use risotto rice - it is just that pudding rice is cheaper!:rotfl: Good idea about eating before you go out - I will try that next time.
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!
  • I got it in asda, on offer for £1 for the block, grated slices.

Made red pepper & sweet potato soup & quorn spag bol for dinner, yum yum, working overnight so i can have a few hours sit down now before i head off for my 12 hour shift later!

dodgy tum says scrambled eggs to me! Or how a bit of soup, clear stuff like chicken noodle, that's always good when your digestive system isn't functioning well.

    Evening all,

I'm wondering what to cook for tea tonight? something quick, light and easy as OH had a dodgy tum yesterday....

I haven't eaten much today, a mullerlight and club biscuit bar this morning, left over spag bol for lunch and 3 choco leibniz biccies this afternoon with several cups of tea. I forgot I didnt have any fruit left at work so I was a bit gutted!

I havent had my HEb yet so I'm thinking SW chip sarnie later! mmmmmm
    Trying to keep in budget.

so where can i by this lowlow cheese from they dont have it in my tesco or sainsbury ?
Asda have it for £1 at the mo. Ive seen the slices at Tesco, think they are also on a deal. Its really nice low fat cheese. I tried the WW one years ago, it wouldnt even melt on my cheese on toast and was all bitty. Lowlow is creamy and tastes lovely. Cathedral lighter is also fab, I get that when its on a deal, you can have 42g of that also.

Oooh I've never considered cathedral city lighter! I love cathedral city cheese, so tasty.

I've just had some of the low low on top of my HM veg soup for tea...and I put a splash of worcester sauce on top of the cheese too, v good! I agree about other reduced fat cheeses I'd tried previously, they're either gritty, or if they do melt they stick in my teeth. I'm enjoying the low low though, it does seem to be on offer a lot at the moment.

Breakfast: 28g Apricot wheats (heB) and some milk allowance (heA), banana, herbal tea.
Lunch: (at uni) Jacket potato and beans ( I usually like a bit of salad if I'm having this but not paying £2 extra for a few leaves!)
Dinner: HM veg soup, 42g low low cheese (heA), rice cake (1.5 syns) cottage cheese.

Snacks: Apple, maltesers funsize (5), lemsip (0.5).

Might have some grapes/blueberries if I feel nibbly, and a Hifi Bar as my other Healthy B.

I do green days as I'm veggie. Have some asparagus in the fridge, and have a full day at home tomorrow, so think I might make an asparagus and pea pearl barley risotto.

Got a rotten cough today, but pleased to discover lemsip's don't make much of a dint in my daily syns!

    Hi All,

Hello to all new members and congras to those of you who have had losses this week. I had week 3 WI today and after my absolutely awful week I've put on 4lbs! I knew I would have done have done badly (to say the very least!) after the amount of food I've eaten this past week. I set a target loss of 3lbs for this week and am hoping I make that though I've had 2 rough meetings with the bank yesterday and today to do with the divorce and money situation. Its such hard work and really stressful so will be trying hard not to let the bad habits stay around for another week.

Off to update sig with gain now:eek:

Oh well - I'm off to my first meeting shortly, all 'naughty' foods (including the Tesco Finest Chocolate cake and lemon curd tarts bought round by my Mum at the weekend) have been banished for ever - I mean business this time!

Weight this morning was 13st 2lb - could do better. Will be interesting to see what the scales say at the weigh in!
    :j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
