I've just been looking at the cous cous cake and the chickpea cake posted by consultant31 (i think) on a recipe thread. Has anyone made them, are they nice? I could fair go a bit of cake .

Ooh, things have changed since these recipes were posted and both of these cakes now have to be synned. They weren't all that wonderful anyway to be honest :o

I thought I'd post this again as motivation should it be needed:-

    FREE FOOD
Choose freely from these foods. There is no weighing or measuring, eat enough to satisfy your appetite whenever you want. You need never be hungry to slim.
Choosing foods marked S will give your weight loss a boost. Choosing foods marked SS will give your weight loss an even bigger boost.

    HEALTHY EXTRAS

Always enjoy your healthy extras. Choose 1 from the 'A' Section and 1 from the 'B' section if you're following the Extra Easy plan..

    YOUR SYNS
Have your syns - they are your reward for doing well, you deserve them. Missing them out will not mean a faster weight loss.

    WEIGHING
Always weigh or measure Healthy Extras and Syn foods. It is easy to make a mistake or fool yourself. BE HONEST.

    VLF
Use Very Low Fat where indicated. Don't use 'low fat' and make sure you are not fooled by the words 'Diet' or 'Low Calorie' on the packet, they can mislead.

    COOKING
Do not fry food with oil. If you want to cook in a pan use some water, dry fry in a non-stick frying pan or use 'Fry light'. There are many ways of cooking food without oil, try grilling, cooking in the oven or using your microwave. Try herbs and spices to jazz up your cooking!
Starting the Slimming World Eating Plans can be a great opportunity to be a bit more adventurous and we have a large range of recipe/cook books which cater for both the original and green eating plans and also desserts.

    VARIETY
The bigger the variety of food you eat the better the weight loss you will have. Also the people that vary their food are more able to stick to the plans and therefore have more successful results long-term. Aim to fill one third of your plate with superfree foods at every meal if possible.

    PLAN YOUR MEALS
Have plenty of free food available for meals and snacks. Don't wait until you go shopping before you start to plan - start now! Remember to plan what you eat and eat what you plan.

ALL THE TIME, REMEMBER WHY YOU JOINED
Keep this thought in mind. Have a goal to aim for but don't set your goal too high to begin with.

Take it one step at a time and once you have reached your first goal set yourself another.

A BAD DAY DOES NOT HAVE TO MEAN A BAD WEEK!
COMMITMENT plays a big part in your slimming success. If you are committed there will be no stopping you. Come to class every week and try to stay every week. There are 5 and 10 week Countdown courses which not only save you money but also help to ensure your commitment.

Can I join the thread please?

I've been thinking about going back to Slimming World for a while - I've done it a couple of times before but once I've lost the weight I 'forget' the good habits!

I'm the heaviest I've ever been at 13st 3lb (even when pregnant  ) so I need to do something about it, I'm feeling tired all the time and no energy for anything!

I've bought the latest SW mag to get me fired up (it's working!) so it's countdown to Tuesday evening now. Will post my weight on my sig after the weigh in and update is as I need to!
    :j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

Pizza Express now have a 500 calorie pizza - advertised outside the restaurant, though I didn't stop to see what it was called - I'm guessing that's your best bet at 25 syns.

    No - they're not kidding

Hi everyone, well did have a good day to start with and then went horribly wrong lol

B - Poached eggs on toast (HEB) with bacon, tomato and mushroom and tea (1)
L - Granary chicken in mayo and salad sandwich - no butter (19?) and crisps (6.5?) coffee (1)
D - Mugshot....not feeling very well didn't want dinner and can't taste anything now!!
    S - Grapes, 1/2 a bendicks bittermint(2) and 1 thorntons chocolate (4)

So total syns today 33.5!!!! eek!

As I have now lost my taste though I probably won't be eating much tomorrow as I hate it when everything is tasteless!

WoS - To get to 'target weight (8st 7lbs)' I would need to lose just over 6 stone, although I can't ever imagine weighing this much I would be happy to lose anything!! But I am aiming for my club 10 and as I have high blood pressure my motivation is to be healthier, when/if I ever reach it then I will try and aim for another 10% and just try and take it in chunks I think it is good to have mini targets but also try not to put too much pressure on yourself as sometimes that can be a bad thing! :)
    Goal weight....lighter than when I started :D

25 syns for one pizza?! hmmmm I'm not sure now. thats two days of syns gone in one go! I've already indulged a bit too much this week, I'll have to rethink tomorrow now, shame as I was looking forward to lunch out. :(
