Well after the 4th time of trying I finally made some decent syn free chips tonight. I think it may have been because I was making them with the some potatoes I use jackets before, I tried some other ones tonight & they browned quite nicely for a change!
I wish I could say I've been 100% lately but that would be fibbing, however the good news is somehow I'm still losing weight. I'm getting back on track slowly though - the last couple of weeks I've just been feeling constantly hungry, it's like the food goes in my mouth & I'm immediately thinking 'what can I eat next?' It hasn't helped that I've felt quite nauseous a lot of the time too, so anything 'sloppy' like weetabix (with milk) & Muller lights have been off the menu. Which has pretty much resulted in me living off toast for 2 weeks.
But still, things seem to be returning to normal. I've got 8 days until we fly out to Turkey, and if I can manage a 2lb weight loss on Monday that'll be my club 10, 3lb loss & that's the 1st 7lb award. Fingers crossed!Mortgage: [STRIKE]08/13 £28,896.49[/STRIKE] 01/18 £00 -
Well, I have finally got going with this, spent last week 'getting rid' of some naughty food, but also testing out a few of the recipes and getting my head round the plan. Started properly today, have planned the weeks food and done the shopping, so hopefully I will have good news to report by next week.LBM July 2009DMP Start 1 September 2009DMP Support Number 3350

I've had a great day today.
Brekkie I had in town at the cafe as I usually do on a saturday with my mum, I had 1 dry brown toast(HEB), banana and a muller light (jam 1syn)
Dinner (on the train going ice skating) potato salad an another banana
Tea 3 egg omlette with mushrooms,onion, and 20g cheese(HEA)
Digestive 3.5syns, mini jaffa cake 2syns. Grapes. Diet coke.
I haven't had my other HEB but I havent got anything in I could have, so I will have to leave it just for today.
I might have a glass of wine as its saturday night, an I have a mini bottle cooling in the fridge yum!
Hope everyone else has had a good day? x£100 - £10,0000 -

I found that the syn free chips vary in results, depending on which potatoes you use, some just dont look cooked even though they taste nice.
If after you drain them you give them a really good shake in the pan, be quite rough with them and they taste better when they are cooked x£100 - £10,0000 -

Hi everyone
First time posting.... Joined SW on Thurs so I'm just getting my head round the new EE plan.
I read on an earlier thread that Sainsburys BGTY Egg Mayo Deli filler is free but on Syns online it isn't free it's 1 for 1 level TBSP, and
are Morrisons Eat Smart Sausages (pork chilled) still free?
Looking forward to getting to know you all !10.5 stone gone.

Hi and welcome! Sorry but neither the egg mayo or the sausages are syn free any more. If I remember rightly the sausages are now half a syn each.0

Thanks for your speedy help :0) x10.5 stone gone.

For what feels like the millionth time, I've come back to SW. It's the only lifestyle that really works for me and my family. I bought the May/June magazine yesterday and had a good read through. Can someone explain Extra Easy to me though? I've done red and green days previously, which I understand the basics of but just can't get my head around EE through the menus

Morning all, Last night OH made the chicken tikka masala out of the Jan/Feb magazine OMG it was gorgeous!! it was just like one from the curry house. We eat a lot of quorn chicken curries but they all tast pretty similar and Im getting fed up with tomato based sauces, but this one uses tomoato puree. He also followed the recipe and added a little red food colouring to the marinade so it looked authentic, I think that totally added to the the flavour just because it looked more like a takaway. It was only 1/2 a syn per serving.
Im having a red day today
B - melon and yoghurt
L - tuna salad
D roast gammon with all the fat trimmed off. New Potatoes (2x heb) broccoli and cabbage
pudding will be a merangue nest (3syns) with banana & custard muller with strawberries.
Im feeling good about SW this week, I gained 2 lbs after out week away so have stuck to the plan 100% and tried cooking different meals as we usually stick to the same ones all the time. My jeans feel a little looser around the waist as im feeling less bloated.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
