I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and... I believe in miracles."

i have bought a whole roast chicken before now, removed the skin and ate the whole thing! lol.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but shop-bought, spit-roast chicken has syns. Off the top of my head I can't remember how many but will try to find out and post later.
I confess to not knowing this myself till it came up at an area meeting recently - it appears that these chickens are injected with oil to keep them moist while they're being spit-roasted.
Following on from this, here is the reply from Slimming World Head Office :-
Rotisserie Chicken – We have found that some supermarkets do inject the chickens that are put on the rotisserie with extra oil to make them tastier. The best way to check if the chicken would be Syn free with the skin and any visible fat removed would be to ask at the counter if they are adding/injecting anything into the chickens.
Hope this clarifies thingsI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Feeling v sorry for myself - 1.5 gain last night and I don't know why !!
Am trying to put it behind me and move forward but sometimes this losing weight business is just hard .....
Well done to all the losers and STS - hope to join you again next week.
M x
Please don't be upset by a small gain - in the great scheme of things it's not so bad. Have you taken your measurements? Often while food optimising, you will find you don't lose any lbs, no matter how hard you try, but you still lose inches.
If you haven't measured your bust/waist/hips in the past, now's a good time to start. Stick with the plan, follow it to the letter and you cannot fail to lose weightI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

With or without the wee, your body weight can alter hourly which is why it's not a good idea to get weighed every dayI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi everyone
Room for a not so small one?
I joined SW 3 weeks ago, I'm doing EE and lost 3.5lbs and then 5lbs this week. Dragged my Dad along who lost 9lbs first week (could have hit him) and 2.5lbs this week - yes I gloated and did a little danceReally enjoying it so far and always on the lookout for some support
Dodgy starting piccies are on my bloggy blog here. So pleased to see a SW thread on here
Wondered if anyone had any tips for exercise? HAve a dodgy back so can't do the whole gym route. Have upped my walking and housework (OH is loving me being on this plan) but wondered if anyone else had any ideas? Saving up for a Wii:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin0 -
Hello Whoopidoo - welcome to the thread and the Slimming World way of eating
I am an exercise-phobe I'm afraid, absolutely hate the very wordbut I love walking and so that's what I do. I think whatever you do you need to enjoy it so that it's not a chore. Look after your back and as the weight comes off, hopefully you will find it's not as dodgy as you thought

Well guys and gals I thought I needed a boost to keep me going so OH booked me into the hair dressers today to discuss how i was going to do my hair for this family wedding in august (which i intend to be target for) and went in there with mousey curly frizzy long hair and now have hazelnut (high light free) short straight hair I feel LUSH and am so ready for this.
Even took photos to remind myself how good i feel today.
And I made a boo boo with HE and was on a EE but had cereal and ham sandwich for lunch so have changed to a green day syned the ham and am having veg curry and rice for tea.
I would have just wiped today once i realised i'd made a mistake but not today I had a glimpse of target me today and have inspired myself.
This sounds so patronising but I feel good today so the moral is go out get a hair cut and feel great x x x:happyhear YUMMY MUMMY TO HENRY BEAR AGED 10:happyhearslimming world need to get back to target 25lb to goDisney World here we come May 2018:j0 -
I stuck to plan and even had my creme egg which I found was 8.5syns (does anyone else feel bad having there syns? I always feel like I shouldn't have them:o)
Last night for Tea we had the mushy pea curry, it was lovely!
.
Irefuse to call them syns, I call them "extra nice treats" and yes I sometimes feel guilty - eg today has been horrendous, boss is trapped in Italy by volcanic ash  and I've been trying all websites (trains, boats, taxis, hitchhiking) to get him home, so I came in with a Cad flake (8 syns) AND I've poured out the remainder of the wine which is easily250ml and prob nearly 300 but guess what I DON'T CARE after today! :rotfl:
However, I do fancy mushy pea curry for tea and if I can't find the recipe I'll be back to ask for it. And who's borrowed by SW curry cookbook that's what I want to know.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

I hope you enjoy your wine, I'm having a glass too!
The mushy pea curry, I made it last night it was
Fry an onion in frylight
add 1 tin mushy peas and 1 tin chopped tomatoes
and then add 1 tsp medium curry powder (I added hot but I like spicy curry)
Add meat or quorn and simmer for 30mins+ (I left mine an hour)
I hope I haven't left anything important out, I've only made it once myself! It was lovely x£100 - £10,0000
