Asda is actually the only one where the rotisseries chicken is listed. I think they used to say that a whole chicken was 40 syns but now they've broken it down into:
Asda Plain Whole Chicken, Rotisserie 100g
2½ Syns on Extra Easy
Original 2½ Syns
Green 9 Syns

I have a wonderful hubby who loves to cook, today he has made homemade mayo. Now my problem is how to syn it, the eggs free, lemon juice free, sweetner free, garlic free BUT oil . He didnt measure it so have no idea how much he used. I'm guesstimating about 4 tbs which is 28syns. Obviously I won't have that much so if I have say 1tbs split between homemade coleslaw & potato salad would you say 7syns is enough or should I go higher? I have only had 52 syns so far this week, today will be the highest syns as am going EE. I think I will be ok but I am obsessed with writing everything down and like to be as precise as possible [sad I know].:pIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I have the whole top shelf of my fridge full of those Mullers courtesy of Morrisons. I don't like the cherry underlayer ones so that's ok but have to say the lemon cheesecake ones are so worth 1 syn
Going to see if I can get a hold of that magazine with the tikka recipe in. Sounds yum!:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin0 -

I try and have a dry dish like tandoori with boiled rice then any sauce on the side and just add a little to eat rather than a whole plate of saucy food that you end up mopping up with a nan. Rogan josh is 6.5 syns though per 360g serving and tandoori chicken is 9 syns per 340g thats on red and EE. Chickpea dahl is only 5 syns per 350g serving the rest like masala are loaded with syns, enjoy:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Had some sort of funny turn this morning and ended up emptying the freezer to see what was lurking at the bottom !
Made a list of everything and then looked up the syn values for everything not obvious (veg, lean bacon etc). I had some pleasant surprises and this should mean my menu plan for next week is a little more varied than usual.:)
Also, I understand that the Morrisons Muller offer is on until 29 April (please correct me if I'm wrong) - so at least one more trip beckons !:j
MI was going to take over the world but got distracted by something sparkly.......0 -
Hey all! Although I've said I'm a new slimmer, I've probably been dieting all my life lol so no all that new! Just new (or re-newed) to slimming world, as I've dug out my old pack and gone through the books again. Hopefully, I'll stick to it this time!
Looking to loose a whopping 4 stone after having already lost 2 stone eating less. Grr... such a mission lol.
Anyway, I'm so happy to find this thread on good old mse as I have the 2005 books for SW and will need to get the new ones. Until them, if anyone can help me I'd be very grateful. I was wondering how many syns Halawa is? I just bought some in the Iranian shop and am very addicted lol, so I'm seriously craving a nice sweet spoonful of it now, but dread the calories (it's practically pure sugar!).
I'm also going to try to use this thread to monitor my weight loss, hopefully if I publicise it, I'll be more motivated to change! I tried this at home by writing up my weight on a white board in our lounge (a very daring move!) so that guests would be able to see my weight and hopefully it would motivate the hell out of me to loose it to avoid the embarrassment. It kinda worked, but more because it was so satisfying wiping off the old weight with a cloth and penning on the new weight with a big smile.
Anyway, good luck all slimmers! Hopefully I can help as much as I can get help here, so looking forward to it.
Calea (14 st 9 lbs)... cringe!0 -

I bought the May/June magazine yesterday and had a good read through. Can someone explain Extra Easy to me though? I've done red and green days previously, which I understand the basics of but just can't get my head around EE through the menus
Thanks
Here's the official line:-
Extra Easy:
1: Choose your Free Food
Anything that’s Free Food on Green OR Original – so that’s pasta, rice, potatoes, lean meat, poultry, fish and all the Superfree food – is totally Free on Extra Easy! Yes, you can eat unlimited meat, potatoes and veg, fish, chips and mushy peas, and chicken curry and rice with no measuring, no weighing, no counting – no kidding!
And for super-fast, super healthy results, fill one third of your plate with Superfree Food!
2: Choose your Healthy Extras
Each day select one Healthy Extra ‘a’ choice and one Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice from our simplified list of calcium and fibre-filled foods, including milk, cheese, bread and cereal.
3: Enjoy 5-15 Syns each day
And if the Syn values for Green and Original foods are different on the standard Syns lists, count the lower one!
If you find your weight loss has slowed down or stopped, check………
1. Whether everything you're counting as Free, is Free
2. Whether you're under-estimating Syn values (over-estimate if guessing)
3. Whether you're counting everything that should be counted
4. Whether you're measuring everything that should be measured
5. Whether you're sabotaging your success in any other way (using SAS logs will help uncover individual long-term self-sabotage patterns) and, if none of these is the culprit, either...........
A: increase the proportion of Superfree Foods to half of your plate
OR
B: switch to more Speed Foods
And above all, if you follow the plan, any plan, 100% you will lose weight!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
