Loved the menu but everything was creamy this, cheesy that! It really is harder for you guys over there! Enjoy your lunch anyway - if it isn't going to be an everyday occurance I would just enjoy myself and flexible syn it!
Marion:)
Well at least it's not just me who would struggle with this one. I don't want to blow all my syns on what is effectively a work thing. I find work syns much less enjoyable than weekend syns! Will have to tread carefully and next time suggest somewhere more SW friendly!!0 -
Speed food Soup (syn free on Green and EE)
1 can mixed bean salad
1 can green lentils
2 cans chopped tomatoes
1 can bake beans
Handful of split lentils
2 large leeks
1 large onion
4 medium carrots
2 parsnips
1 each green, red and yellow peppers
2 vegetable stock cubes
Salt pepper
Mixed herbs
Water (enough to cover all ingredients)
Chop all vegetables. Put them and everything else into a large pan, cover with water, bring to boil and simmer until vegetables are soft (about 30 mins). Once cooked, the soup can be left chunky or blended smooth.
Here you go Speed soup recipe. I found it by putting "speed soup" into the search above and ended up on another SW thread. :rotfl::oDidnt know there was another one
Thank you very much for the recipe, I didnt even think to type it in.
Will get the ingredients tonight and try it tomorrow.0 -
Surely the scales on the wii are not that accurate???
I don't own a wii so i don't know how they work, but surely a normal set of scales is better???0 -
Hello all
So I survived my cheapo week, but gorged the following week - visited my parents and its a ritual of eating out, scoffing to ease the boredom of the 5 hour journey each way etc etc... but knew that and didn't care, I am more annoyed about the fact that i let the week continue to go downhill and wussed out of going to class - GRRR!
So I have to have a good week this week. :A
Today: overslept (in my defence I do work in a pub so keep late nights!) so no breakfast. lunch was a huge amount of pasta with baked beans, peppers, quark & 2 x heA cheese mixed in. 4 syns on delicious onion marmalade with it.
Dinner... well, I'm too full to think about it yet, but I was inspired by the tlk of speed food soup, so thought I'd try a vegetarian chilli style soup? Which will probably just be watered down vege chilli!
Vague recipe:
baked beans
Red kidney beans
Tin of tomatoes, and maybe tomato puree if i think it needs it
veg stock
red & green peppers, tomatoes.
Maybe some dried soya mince, maybe not, i will add if I think it needs thickening
Garlic
1/2 packet old el passo fajita seasoning (2.5 syns and worth every 0.5 syn!)
I seem to have trouble sticking to my syns allowance so won't be depriving myself of any syns, and just about to go horse riding but think I could have a can of diet coke and a packet (two?) of milkyway stars. Are they about 2.5 syns?
new mantra: suck not chew, it lasts so much longer...
I bought loads of salad veg and now guess what - I don't fancy it. typical :rotfl: Ah well, at least my excercise will be getting a boost - I am house and dog sitting a dog who needs 2 hours walkies a day :DNothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
Skintslimmer - Try buying the Schwarts Shotz they are free on all days and the cajun one is absolutely gorgeous - it would save some syns then
Instead of tomato puree (i thought it has syns in it - not sure) i would use passata!
Also the milky way magic stars are 3.5syns a packet!!! And imo the bags of buttons are worth the extra 0.5syn (15g bag = 4syns)
I always put my choccie in the fridge/freezer because i think it lasts longer!!!0 -
missty25 - It doesn't show online - how big was the bag - i can give you the other flavours to compare against if you like

I'm having a red day today, and was planning on using one of my HEB's on potatoes with dinner.
If I make the potatoes into slimming world chips (with the skin on as that's where the book says the fibre actually is) - does that still count as a HEB? Or would I need to syn them?
xx0 -
missty25- 8.5syns per bag - most of the others are 8 or 8.5!!!
crap_with_money.com - the SW with skins on would still be classed as HEb in my eyes!!!0 -

As long as you weigh the potato and keep the skins on you can use it as a HEB - so enjoy your chips! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Thanks Nessie and Marion - I'm off to start making them now!
