1lb loss for me yesterday... absolutely no idea how that happened, it's nothing short of a minor miracle! Anyway I'm properly back on plan now; will be in Turkey 2 weeks today so would like to shift another 6lb if I can.Mortgage: [STRIKE]08/13 £28,896.49[/STRIKE] 01/18 £00

5 mugs of tea @ 1/2 syn each for milk (2.5 syns)
Speed soup (and yes it works and quickly :rotfl:)
Sugarfree squash
Lemon cheesecake muller (1 syn)
Jpot with chicken, sweetcorn and 2 tbsp extra light mayo (1.5 syns) and salad

Total syns - 12.5
Does that look ok?Start weight - 13st 6lbs

Hullo all.
Grinned as I got off the scales this morning since they're showing a 4.5lb weight loss for my first proper SW week this year! Some of that is last week's pre-period bloat but still it looks good on the weight loss chart!
Last week was great and helped massively to save almost all of my syns for the weekend of, well, sinning! In-between general sinning, OH and I went out for lunch yesterday and I ordered a veggie sammich which turned out to have...wait for it...1227 calories!!!!! :rotfl: Just for the sammich and not for the chips that are served with it!!!! I've had to assume all those calories are in the bread and the little bit of pesto and cheese but maybe the healthy seeming mushrooms and stuff were somehow made out of lard?
Hope nobody is still wondering why America has a big obesity problem!
Does it hurt to save your syns then splurge every week?? I may have to find a more balanced way of doing this if it does!
Edited to say: Some of the same restaurant's salads were 1800 calories incidentally. Oh and they do this slice of cake with 2200. Mwa ha ha ha...probably shan't be going back too often!
Great weight loss Jen - well done!:j Shop bought sandwiches do tend to be very high in syns I'm afraid - even the so called healthy looking ones are stuffed with butter, mayo, high cal bread and probably sugar too:( Salads sound good and healthy - and then they put on creamy dressings or drizzle with oil or load it up with cheese and croutons. It's a conspiracy I tell you - they are trying to keep us all fat!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Isn't it shocking though that we don't notice these things till we go on a diet?!
Have you tried the American Slimming World site? I understand SW has opened up over there now and if there isn't a class near you I bet you could still join on line which should help with menu ideas with an American slant plus the syns would be for the American products.
Good luck with your next week!

Morning everyone. I've just had my breakfast rice and am stuffed!! I keep bringing a slightly smaller prtion (brekkie at work) each day but I'm still stuffed! Was looking in the mirror this morning and I think my tummy looks flatter already! Possibly as I've not had any evil bread all week! That's the beauty of SW for me, there are so many other things I can fill up on that I don't eat bread so much which is good as it doesn't really agree with me.
My menu for today: (EE I think but may swap to green yet!)
Breakfast - Marion's breakfast rice
Lunch - Sweet potato & chorizo soup (1)
Tea - not sure, going to mum's but have told her it needs to be SW friendly
Snacks - banana, pear, small slice of lemon drizzle cake.0 -

Hi,
Good luck for your first meeting tomorrow.
I add the page where I have read up to to my favourites and then I can find it easily the next time I log on. Then all I do is delete it from favourites and add the new page instead.
Hope this helps!Start weight - 13st 6lbs
