Hello!
Am thinking about rejoining slimming world so thought I'd come and say hello to you all.
just wondering though, as I'm also a debt-free-wannabe if any of you guys are on a strict budget? I lost 7pounds in my first week last time (only did it for 3 weeks!) but found I was spending too much money on fresh fruit and veg.... I can't afford to do that this time around.
Thanks

xx
you couldthey are 1.5 syns per 28g cooked for the dried ones (you'll prob find yourself eating much more than 28g of them tho as 28g really isn't a lot!) The fresh ones are 2.5 syns per 28g.
Todays food - Red day
B - (HEB) 28g sultana bran (i will get used to this stuff if it kills me lol) with milk (hea) Cup of tea
L - chicken skewers with peppers and onions, gammon slices and relish (2syns)
S - Lemon Cheesecake muller light (1), cherry scone with 2tsps of low sugar jam (10), HiFi bar (heb2) another cup of tea.
D - Roast chicken, with veggies
total syns 13. Not going to have my second hea as i dont think i'll have room! All hail to the sale!!!!!!

I'm on a very very tight budget and yes it does cost a bit more plus the £5 a week for meeting, but somehow I just manage. It will be so worth it in the long run.
Just as if someone said to me - give me £200 pound and I'll make you 3 stone lighter - somehow I would find the money!!

i try and make a point of going to my local asda on a sunday afternoon when they reduce stuff - last time i got a pack of mushrooms for 10p, mixed salad 10p, beetroot for 40p among other things. Also morrisons does a "selected seconds" stand so you can sometimes get stuff from there.
Also, i buy frozen veg and now spring is here, the seeds are in and i am growing my own as it is much cheaper (and nicer!)All hail to the sale!!!!!!

I have another wee question - I know that if you juice your fruit it counts as syns, I just squeezed a lemon over my salad with some pepper as a dressing - does that count as syns???
xx
I would say not! I use this all the time and have never counted it - it is not as if you had juiced 6 oranges to make juice to drink. When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Me again!
I just had the most fab lunch (sorry, i'll calm down soon, i'm a bit excited at the mo!).
Jacket potato, with carrot and coriander soup over it, and two grilled and chopped slices of bacon on top (the ones that i didn't have for brekkie cos i was full of porridge!). Yum with an extra helping of yum
I like this diet, but i think i might burst!!
Question - the BOOK says that stock cubes are free - do they mean oxo cubes?
Ta, S x
Glad you enjoyed your lunch and yes oxo cubes and other similar type stock cubes are now free. When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

I can't wait to get my own place and grow things but unfortunately I am in a spare room in a flat with nowhere to grow anything!
I think the only 'expensive' stuff is the fruit and veg, but then I guess I'm spending money on crap foods too. Decisions, decisions. But I reckon I have at least 1.5stone to lose to feel happier. I did decide to just make myself feel good by wearing the right sort of clothes, but I have noticed I"m getting way more wobblyBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
