Hiya
Could you tell me which issue the recipe for the Yellow Thai curry is in please, I love that curry but from my local takeaway I think the sins are through the roof! lol
Thank youHi everyone, Happy New Thread!
Today is a boyfriend day so meals are as follows:
Breakfast - toast and tea (HEb and HEa)
snack - pineapple finger and grapes
Lunch - curry savoury rice then some fruit (it's asda day tomorrow so cupboards are a bit bare)
Dinner - SW yellow thai curry (the one in the magazine), rice and veg on the side (don't ask what veg, BF is supplying those), maybe with a wee treatlet for dessert.
Hmm actually is that too much rice in one day? Might change that to a chicken breast and some more fruit, I don't have anything in that could make a sauce.0 -
Hiya
I would like to join in with you all, as you have a great thread on here. Went back to SW and have found it easier to plan meals with the Extra Easy plan. First week but so far it hasn't been too hard. Keep the good ideas coming0 -
Hi All
Can I join you? Starting my Slimming World diet tomorrow - already got some yummies lined up!
I looked at the weight chart thingy, and it seems i need to lose 3st, and that's just to be overweight. I followed atkins a few years back and lost that much, but i don't have the mynadd (any welsh peeps in?) for that anymore.
I've been through the book and made lists of the stuff that i like in each category, and for this first week i'm going to follow the sample menu on the SW website.
So that's me! Any hints and tips that I need to know / remember? Anything i should avoid like the plague?

Hi and welcome.:hello:
If you follow the plan online to the letter you should lose no problem. My tips are, write everything that goes into your mouth down (even the chip you pinch off oh's plate), drink at least 2 litres of water/no added sugar squash.
If you do Extra easy then make sure at dinner times that 1/3 of your plate is superfree foods (veg etc).
The beauty about SW is that if a food is free then you dont have to weigh it at all, but remember to weigh all your healthy extras and measure out your milk first thing in the morning. It so easy to judge things by eye and your out slightly, but each day that adds up.
Make sure you have your syns. A lot of people avoid syns thinking they will lose more weight. It doesnt work like that. The syns are there so you can still have daily treats and stay on track.
As for anything to avoid - well thats another beauty about SW nothing is banned. You learn what is high syns and either have a smaller piece of it or find something similar with lower syns. But if you do go over you syns one day because you had to have a piece of cake then you can have less syns the next day. Its all about following a healthy eating plan and treats in moderation, but dont have to be cut out all together.
Hope that helps , im off to take my own advice now lol.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
