    Hi everyone,

Think I'm going to be leaving you. I just can't stick to this diet! I think I'm having a good day where I've eaten loads and because I feel so full I feel like I've blown it so go and blow it anyway if that makes sense. Feel like a it of a failure because it is a fab plan and you've all done really well. Just think I need a few more boundries!

Think I'm going to gatecrash over in os weight loss board and just try to eat better and move more.

Sorry for wasting your time, been chatting here for a good few weeks and never stuck to the plan for more than 2 days at a time :o:o and not lost a pound :o
Thanks for all your help and good luck
All the best Cheeso! Hope you find 'The Way' somehow - let us know how you do! Best of luck!!

Actually, I think you should stick around, you know this works. Or just have a break and come back when you feel refreshed and ready to go.

    Best wishes anyway!

hey guys i figure you would be the best to ask about this but I'm looking to substitute caster sugar with Honey or Sweetener.

For honey what quantity should i use instead of 100g/4 oz of caster sugar? Would sweetener be the same..

I'm trying banana cake and some i knew used to do this and it was still delish but I'm not enough of a pro to know how much etc to use!!! Also is any sweetner better to use for cooking in particular?

    Any advice welcome!

    Thanks in advance!
I made fairy cakes with Splenda once and they were awful! Also, I think honey is much the same as sugar as far as syns go.

I would only ever bake properly using sugar and syn it as part of my allowance, it just isn't worth it IMO. Good luck!

Good luck with your weightloss whatever diet you choose. I have tried ww,r.conely & lots of other diets & i have to say that I have found SW to be the easiest to stick to long term.(i was always hungry on the others)

However you have to be in the right mindset,it is an adjustment, sacrifices have to be made(bread, cheese & cakes!!) but i think the trade off is fair. On this plan you never have to go hungry, but you do have to cook & prepare more & think outside the box.
I also think you have to mix up your foods to try & keep it interesting(or if you are like me will get bored & go off plan!!)

If you ever want to try again we will be here.

    Jo

    HI everyone

Well yesterday was my first day back on SW - and it was a 100% day (phew)

So - today is shaping up to be that way as well - I even gave away an Easter Egg that I received today...I never give away chocolate - I MUST be focused!

Am slightly irritated that I had to buy lunch today and there was mayonaise mixed with the tuna that I had on a jacket potato - so I am going to have to use all my syns on mayonaise  but on the other hand - it tasted REALLY nice:rotfl:

Don't know about you guys - but its evenings that are tough for me. I've just got into the habit of staying up too late, getting tired and feeling 'hungry'. If I can get through a week of making good choices in the evenings, I think I will be OK.

  • Hi Everyone,

I'm Vicky, just started Slimming World yesterday.
My aim is to lose around 2.5-3 stones. I'm 5'4 and weigh 11st 6 at the moment and really want to shift it in time for my hols at the end of Aug!

    It was my first day on the plan today and I had;

B - 1 half fat sausage (3.5 syns I think?), 3 rashers of lean bacon and scrambled egg (all made with Fry light)

L - Fruit salad of apple, banana and pineapple w/ Mullerlight Mandarin yoghurt.

D - Steamed cod fillet with herbs and chilli w/ brown rice and vegetable medley (broccolli, carrots and sweetcorn - all fresh)

I'm on the Extra Easy plan and can't get over how easy it seems to be. I've never been a massive chocolate lover and don't really have sauces on my food so no hidden syns there!

My main weakness has always been junk and convenience food but I've found planning my meals so much easier and cheaper!

Nervous about my first weigh in next monday but I'm hoping i'll do alright.
Also did 30 mins on my Davina Fit DVD!

Sorry to crash and give you all my life story but I'm hoping this forum will provide some support if I start getting a bit disheartened with it!

    Thanks and Hi :D

Looks good HP, as long as you are sure you have had enough to eat? I find the evening are my bad time for wanting nibbles but as you havn't used many syns you can always have something extra if you need it. Well done!

Would anyone mind looking up a syn value for me please?

Its for 'Free From 3 bean chilli' - 300g pouch - it may come up under tescos - because free From is the gluten free stuff they make.

    Thanks in advance
