    Hi All,

had my WI on wed and stayed the same. So disappointed as I have been really good. Luckily I managed to speak to my consultant this week as her classes are normally packed and I don't get a chance.
I thought she might try and fob my off a bit as I have lost 3 pounds in 2 weeks (I know a rare few lose less). Anyway, she was lovely and said there was obviously a problem (she checked diaries etc and they were fine).
She thinks I may have an intolerance to carbs - she has this also and finds that she didn't lose on the green days. She asked if I'd had problems with ovarian cysts (I used to have)! or thyroid probs (funnily enough I had that checked last year and it's all fine). So she thinks the cyst prob. Has anyone heard of this before?
She suggested doing permanent original days - well at least for this week to see how it goes. The thing is I'm more of a fan of the green days but will try this.
I did ask if doing lighter life 6 years ago would have messed my metabolism up and she thought it could be possible.
It's such a shame as I was so not struggling on SW and could see myself doing it forever but couldn't see myself doing permanent original!
    Sorry for the essay!

I've been wondering about this too Lisa - not that I have ovarian or thyroid probs! I've only lost 6.5 lb in 7 weeks and was doing a lot of green days initially. I could see on my own scales that nothing was really shifting so now I do mostly EE with the odd green day and have very little potatoes/pasta. I literally have a handful of dried pasta or potatoes and now things appear to be improving. Do you have much to loose? Not sure if that would make a difference? I have about a stone and a half to go now.

My gynaecologist recommended i cut out carbs when i was diagnosed with PCOS - i tried Atkins but i felt crap and craved carbs constantly.

I do lose more weight when i follow original, but i do love green days on the days where i really crave carbs.. atm i crave carbs badly ( * week next week) so have been having a fair few ee and green days...

anyhoooooo am having an EE day today...

B - 28g bitesize shredded wheat (heb) with milk (hea)

L - Jacket pot with chilli (from cafe so had butter.. was only a little bit so allowing 3.5syns to be safe)

D - Fish, SW chips and salad followed by a dessert of melon, raspberries and banana fruit salad.

    S - 1/8 of easter egg (2.5syns as whole egg is 20syns), 3 rich tea fingers (3) and 3 mikado sticks (1.5)

so had 10.5 syns so far today and i will not be having any more!!! Is it obvious that i am craving carbs?????????? lol :rotfl: :rotfl:
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

    Hi Karen,

I have about 2 stone to lose. I had a baby 5 months ago and I also remember from having DD (6 years ago) that I couldn't lose it easily then and went on LL in desperation but really do not want to go down that road again!
Going by my scales this morning, and they always tally with the class ones, they are showing a pound loss so if that's the case it's good so far.
Although Wed is my WI day and as I'd already stocked up on my carbs, I had a green day then but that will be the only one this week!
I also think that on my green days I do tend to overdo the carbs and have masses and that can't help.

I believe that science has shown that those on high-carb diets lose more slowly than those on high protein but it evens out over 6 months to be the same weight loss. So do whatever suits you , or both, on EE. After all, as I have read countless times on here it isn't a sprint, it's a lifetime marathon that we are engaged on.

Having a bad day with my IBS, never suffered with this until I started eating mainly green days 1st time around. But even when I fell of the wagon due to the meds I was on it was still the same so I'm not blaming sw in anyway, it may have developed with age anyway.

I feel so bloated and miserable today and could easily pig out on rubbish but fortunatly I don't feel like eating either :rotfl:My weights shifting a lot slower this time round too, only lost 9lb since I came off meds begining January but its still a loss and haven't as much to lose this time either so maybe thats why.

    So far today I've had,

    B - 3 weetabix [b's] milk [a] coffee

L/T - pasta with chopped onion, tomatoes, cucumber & babybel [a] with fat free dressing.

    Snack - muller

Syns - none as yet and no lollies left :(
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

You have my sympathies regarding the IBS!! I don't have it but my wheat intolerance has the same symptoms and it's not a lot of fun. I'm still learning, so every now and then I get ill and realise I've accidentally eaten something with the tiniest bit of wheat in it :( Thankfully the wheat free pasta is considered free on SW too :D Hopoe you feel better soon xx

The recommended safe and healthy' weight loss is between 1 and 2 lbs a week.

I always tell my group that when they've had a good week, the group needs then (for reassurance and motivation) and when they've had a bad week, they need the group (for the same reasons). Missing group when you feel you've not got what you deserve on the scales can have a very detrimental effect on your weight loss overall.

I'm always nagging about this I know, but please, please only get weighed once a week - on the same scales - at the same time of day - wearing the same clothes. It's the ONLY way you get a true overview of your progress. Your bodyweight can alter several times in a day and daily weighing gives you no indication of what you're achieving at all.

Welcome to the newbies among us and a happy Easter to everyone.:easter:
