Oh god, I just hate myself at the moment :(
I started again so well then it all went pete tong again!
I had a couple of family court sessions this week and it has just completely thrown me, I turned to food and now I just wonder if it's even worth me trying if all i do is fail at the first sign of stress!
It was on a court day the week before that I fell off too, how can I stop myself turing to food in times of crisis?
Luckkily I have no more family court dates until may, which will then be the most stressful of them all (basically having to tell the court about domestic abuse I sufferd, while my ex denies it all then waiting for the judges to decide if they beleive me or not:()

I have just eaten so much crap this week that I reckon i've put the whole 5lb back on, my consultant (who seems really supportive by the way) text me mid week to ask if I was ok and was I coming back, a big part of me wants to but then there is a little part of me that thinks there is no point bothering, i'm destined to be grosely obese :(

Sorr for the down post, I just have noone else to speak to about it all.

Post away Don'tknow if it helps, we may or may not be able to help but we can listen [or read!] sometimes just venting will help put things into perspective. We're here for you. Good luck xxxxxxxx

Thanks for looking up the yog folks - I will just have to ration it. Interesting that the low fat one has more syns than the one which doesn't say low fat! (Marion's post)

Don'tKnowAnyMore, hugs and good stuff to you. Now you've got some of your court hearings out of the way for a few months, you can focus on yourself and establishing SW healthy eating. Don't stress too much about the weight, if you just try to plan your meals and eat well - remember HEs and syns - you will start to feel in control of food, not that it controls you. And as you do that, the weight will come off and you will find you feel better about yourself; you might even find you can cope more with the court situation. Keep posting here, lots of people to support you and who understand.

Good Morning Consultant! I'm here but will be going down the park soon with Charlie for his morning p**:o

I made a lovely chilli last night with minced beef steak (drained), onions, kidney beans, chick peas and baked beans plus a tin of tomatoes and loads of chilli powder. Now on EE I know this is free.
As you know I sometimes have issues with my consultant when I just don't agree with her:D so thought I would question you on this one. She has said that if I have something for dinner one night I should not have the left overs for lunch or dinner the next day as it means I am not getting the variety of foods I need? But surely if I only have it for one meal a day for two days running it can't really affect my weight loss? I don't have room in my freezer to put it and like to use things up as quickly as possible. Last nights chilli was served with basmati rice and todays will be on a jacket potato.
    What is your opinion?

    Thank:)s
    Marion

Hope Charlie enjoyed his morning p....onder :rotfl::rotfl:

Honestly I've never heard such tosh and it makes me wonder whether some Consultants have any common sense at all. I'm absolutely sure it won't do any harm to your weight loss to have left-overs two or even three days running unless you were lanning on having them for every meal for the three days!!! Would you consider the onions, green beans and tomatoes would make up one third of your plate of food? If so then it sounds spot-on to me.......enjoy :D
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Aw love, you're beating yourself up so much and it must be adding to your stress terribly. Why don't you let the slimming go for a little while. Keep an eye on what you're eating, but don't worry if you overdo it. You may well find that taking the pressure off will, in fact, mean that you actually eat less. If not, once the court dates are behind you then you can look out for yourself.

I wish you all the luck in the world. Keep posting but stop hating yourself - sounds like you'd do better to turn those feeling outwards towards the OH!!

I'm wondering about this over consuming thing now. One of my favourite quick suppers for a green day is a packet of savoury rice with a 2 egg cheese omelette and baked beans. Is that over consuming on the rice?

    My day yesterday was

bf sachet of plain oatso simple with chopped banana and sweetener

lunch 4 x orig ryvita with dairylea light and a banana

    afternoon snack 2 pears

supper savoury rice, cheese omelette (frylite) and baked beans

dessert 2 slices of fresh pineapple

    late night munchies 2 pears

So lots of fruit there and I thought I was being really healthy having so much fruit, but am again wondering about the over consuming of that.

My initial thoughts on your menu was that I don't see any veg! Ok, there's lots of fruit, but they are taken as snacks between meals, whereas if you could bulk out your meals with veg (be it cooked or salad-type) you would stay fuller for longer and may not need so much fruit (not that there's anything wrong with fruit).

It's really better if you aim for a wide variety of different foods so that you don't get bored and so that you're sure of getting all the necessary nutrients.

Try to eat a rainbow of different colours at each meal. I know it sounds odd, but look at your menu...the foods tend to be all one colour (porrige - beige; banana - beige; rice - beige etc). Maybe you could have had mixed berries with your porrige for instance and a big mixed salad with your omelette. It looks more interesting and it helps to give you a bigger variety of vitamins and minerals.

Incidentally, I regularly eat a whole, chopped melon throughout the day and I am well on my way back to target.......sadly I lost the plot a while ago :o so ignore the calories in melons after all they're marked as an SS food (except watermelon). If you worry about over-consuming of fruit I would try to avoid too many grapes and bananas. They are free food, but I have a member who used to eat 2lbs of grapes and 4 or 5 bananas a day and her weight loss stopped (I wonder why )
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
