I think it's also called short grain rice, coz long grain is the one to use for curries etc.

tbh Kath, when I first tried this recipe I only had the usual (long grain) rice, and it worked fine. I then tracked down some pudding rice and I personally didn't enjoy it as much, but then I never liked rice pudding either. Also for some weird reason it ALWAYS flooded the microwave; I cook long grain (savoury) a couple of times a week and it never boils over.

So what I'm saying is .... it's your choice really! :D

dont be put off if you weigh different on the new scales it can go either way as in more or less
i have two sets of scales one with a needle and one digital and the digital is half a stone heavier than the needle one
plus both my scales are different to Weight watchers ones and SW ones
so work on the loss rather than the total weight
and dotn do what i done in past weighed myself on both cos even that loss is different , one id lose 2lb the other id stay same lolxxx

Gawd Ii hope that mine aren't half a stone heavier cos then I will hardly have lost weight at all since Christmas :(
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Yes pudding rice is short grain rice, you can also use risotto rice. Long grain rice can of course be used if it is to your taste although I find the pudding or short grain rice gives a much creamier texture.

Forgot to say that the pudding or short grain rice is not with the other rice products, I normally find it in the aisle that has jellys, custard etc, in.
