Marion funny you should say that about the red and green days. I am doing a couple of red days this week for a kick . I never did well on green because a love my carbs way too much which i think is my prob on EE so am trying to do more red than EE and if by tea time I need to change from red to EE (when on red I save my 2nd HE for supper so if i go over to EE I just miss the supper out)

Hi!!! Weighed in - another 2lb off! Woohoo.. i seriously thought i was going to gain after a bad 2 weeks!! :j

Marion, i mix my days up too... i have my EEs when i have little time during the week or at weekends... i've noticed my weight loss is better when i've had 1 or 2 EE days in a week and the rest have been a mix of green and red...

today's food - EE Day (going to see Riverdance later with the girls)

    B - 2 x sunnybisk (HEB) with Milk (HEA)

L - Ham salad followed by banana and Mullerlight yog

Snack - Pink and White (2.5syns), boiled sweet (1syn)

D - Chilli Con Carne (2syns for the mix) with a side salad

will drink water when out this evening as i'm not a big alcohol drinker and since i've been doing SW have developed awful symptoms whenever i drink anything with caffeine (Except for tea strangely) and the theatre doesn't sell 7up free or sprite zero Grrrrrrr
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..
  • Hi everyone :o
Well muffed up big time this last few days and ended up slkipping class
I don't know what got into me, well the mcdonaldses, cheesecake, cheese, beefeater mammoth burger and chips, choccie biscuts, yep, they ALL got into me :o

Back on track now, done 30 mins brisk walking with the stroller yesterday (1.4 miles in total) and i'm going again in a min when the babe wakes up.

I've been uber good today, and i'm having sweet and sour pork for tea out of the 'feed your famly for a fiver' book, is it ok to put 1/3rd superfree ingredients in the recipie????

I'm struggling with the superfree element a bit tbh.

dontknowanymore - hugs to you. We all have our moments (mine hit yesterday - you don't want to know!). Draw a line underneath it and yes of course add as much superfree to any recipe you like! :D

Marion and Wendy - I agree that red and green days are def better than EE for losing. When I move onto EE I just don't lose much (if anything) so now I am back on red and green days and will use EE more as maintenance and healthy eating plan when I get to my target.

Strangely in class yesterday our consultant said that it is not good for us to mix red and green and then EE days! I am sure that is the complete opposite of what they said before and she even went on to say that EE is the only plan they are really promoting now because red and green days "arn't really healthy"! Talk about your U turns:rotfl:

    Marion:)
sticking to red and green thank you very much - at least I lose weight on them!

How strange for them to say that after all these years:eek:

Funny enough I have gone back to having the red and green days as I find that on EE I just eat more food. For example it is for me like having a red day but adding lots of carbs into it and knocking off a couple of HEB. I know we don't count calories but after a tot up I found that my calorie count on EE went up a lot:eek:
I do tend to go on EE on the weekend though.

 This is a Consultant who hasn't been to training recently I bet. There are such a lot of mixed messages doing the rounds, that I wonder anyone believes in SW any more  Sorry, but it makes me so mad!!

It's true that we are promoting EE above the other plans, but not because Original and Green aren't healthy for goodness sake. The reason is that EE is more 'normal' than other plans and therefore we should be able to go anywhere and find food that fits the plan, cook for the family without measuring and weighing our own portions etc, etc.

As you will know, the main SW ethos is that we learn to eat healthily, normally, without any hang-ups or obsessions with food. This is why we're not meant to hand out Food Diaries willy-nilly - they're meant to only be used as a tool when someone is struggling.

With EE you really need to be having at least a third of a plate of SS foods - this keeps the calorie count down while helping to make you feel full. If you don't need to lose much weight (are close to target) then make the SS foods half a plate.

It really works I promise, but you do need to use some common sense with portions. Anybody who consistently has huge portions of all foods (things that are free on both the other plans) on EE will struggle to lose weight.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
