Why not try one of those timer things for boiled eggs - the red egg shaped thing you put in the pan with the egg & it chenges colour telling you what's cooked or not.

Love your recipe for the roast chicken Catt - will have a go at that if I ever break my arm and find I can't lift the roaster out of the oven :D

Shaz - I just bought some Lakeland egg pods (or whatever they're properly called) last week for poaching eggs. Haven't tried them yet, but I like the idea :)

I'm still having half a large pot of the 0% Greek yoghurt practically every day with some lemon curd stirred through. I'm finding it really keeps me from craving far more synful sweet stuff and it's absolutely delicious and very low syn - a real winner IMO. Bought some today for £1.57 from Morrisons, quite a saving as it's usually over £2 a pot.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

What are syns like in the lemon curd constultant? (I know there's a jar in the cupboard waiting to be opened) That sounds so appealing to me, I adore greek yoghurt, it would be lovely with some fresh fruit chopped in for breakfast or as a pud.

    Hi All,
hope you don't mind me joining the gang! Just had my first weigh in yesterday and lost 2 pounds.
To be honest I was a bit dissappointed as I thought a first week loss would have been about 4 pound. I am doing it with my sis and it was her 2nd week (she lost 3 1/2 the 1st) and a pound yesterday. She has followed this loads in the past and always done really well.
I love the diet and have tried it before but for some reason I don't do too well at all on it for some reason.
I had a little boy 5 months ago and the weight just doesn't come off easily and didn't with my little girl either (went on lighter life in the end in desperation)! But I'm defo not doing that again and want to do it sensibly.
I am following it to the letter so hope I lose more next week.
Still a loss is a loss and myself and sis are exactly the same weight now and there is some fierce competition!
Also, I only ever use syns for sugar in my tea and coffee which is fine and I have no more than 4 cups a day.
    Sorry for the ramble!

    Welcome to the thread :)

This is not following the plan to the letter though! You really ought to not be cutting back on anything especially at the beginning of your jouney.

Make a point of having all the HEs and all the syns you're allowed and see what the weigh-in reveals next week.

A healthy competetive spirit between you and your sister is great....I'm sure it will help you both. Good luck :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
