SW works regardless of how much you eat - usully because our diets have been so high in those high syn foods previously! Certain foods are high syn because they're not good for you!
What things are you struggling with? It is easier if you're home all day but I did it the first time while working full-time & doing college.

I'm struggling with lunch usually, this week I've had a day off so I've prepped soup and will have soup some days and baked potatoes the other days. I've done pasta salads before as well. I just find that some days when I'm down in London for the day or have had to work during the night I don't have the time/energy/motivation to get things ready for lunch and then when I go to buy lunch I really want a sandwich but that would be so many sins that I feel restricted to not having a sandwich iyswim. The more restricted I feel the more likely I am to excuse myself cheating. I will write everything down this week though and hopefully get back into it.

Do you like sushi? Some of the packs from Boots or Marks are quite low in syns. If you want a sandwich have one! Work the bread into your HEb (for a bought wholemeal bread sarnie you can deduct 6 syns if you count the bread as a Heb) - though fillings can be quite high. A lot of sandwich shops also do baked spuds & beans. Pasta/potato salads are always a good one to make a bulk of - then you can dip in every morning - you don't need to prep these every night.
Pasta n Sauce & noodles cook well in a thermos of hot water - don't add them though until about 20 mins before you want to eat otherwise they'll go soggy.
I lived on noodles & bought salad boxes the first time I did SW & lost 3.5 stone in 5 months!

I do like sushi but where I work there are no Boots or M&S just small village with a couple of shops. Thanks for the other ideas though. I'm so impressed that you lost 3.5 stones in 5 months :-)

Skintlass, you are right that there is certain foods that the syn value is so high, well you just can't really :

Any pastry, white bread and cakes (have you ever measures 28g of cake - its nothing!) are 3 things I totally avoid as you get so little for your syns.

However if you are trying to lose weight by any diet, those three and pretty much off the menu.

What i like most about slimming world is that you can eat loads of food freely. I remember refusing to eat a banana on weightwatchers as it was 1 and a half points!

I think extra easy can trip you up as it is quite easy to make a dinner and 'forget' to have veg. For example if you are on either a red or green day you'd have either loads of mince/little potato or vice versa and your plate would feel empty so you'd load it with veg. However with ee you could have a lovely big pile of potatoes drowned in mince and convince yourself you are being very good as its all free!

I do agree it is difficult when you are not doing the cooking or are out. I usually try and keep an alpen light bar and an apple in my bag for emergencies - usually its just enough to keep you going until you can acquire some healthy stuff.

I also have been known to buy a pack of cold meat as a snack.

Has anyone made the KFC chicken in the recipes section.. I did PM the person who uploaded it a few days ago, but haven't received a reply. I was wondering if a small jar of chicken bovril is the same as a tub as in the recipe and if the mixed spice is the sweet variety as I can't imagine putting that in a savour dish, but is the only mixed spice that I know of?

Going to make it for my tea tonight, so if no one else has any comments if they have already tried it, I will let you know what I think

Does anyone know what the "recipe" is for the quark thingy with sweetener and options to make a sweet topping?

I use either 0% Total with an options mixed into or quark mixed with plain yogurt to thin it out a bit then options added. I find with the options I don't need to add any sweetener but if you like it sweeter then of course add as required!

Catt and Skintlass, and anyone else who ever buys a shop sarnie - if you buy a pack of sandwiches with a low syn filling and remove one slice from each, then stick the other two together, you miss out on a slice of (often horrible) bread and get a lovely fat sandwich. Not sure if I've explained that very well!
