Skintlass, I remember someone pointing out a week or two ago that the chopped up fruit salads sold in Boots etc are free food, you could get one of them and (as Lynne suggests above) some cooked meat - there's lunch on the hoof. Or, if you keep cutlery in the car (I keep a little package of child size cutlery for emergency noshing!) you could buy a half melon and spoon it out, along with a Muller Light. A favourite of mine when I'm out and hungry is a pack of king prawns, yum yum!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Has anyone made the KFC chicken in the recipes section.. I did PM the person who uploaded it a few days ago, but haven't received a reply. I was wondering if a small jar of chicken bovril is the same as a tub as in the recipe and if the mixed spice is the sweet variety as I can't imagine putting that in a savour dish, but is the only mixed spice that I know of?

Going to make it for my tea tonight, so if no one else has any comments if they have already tried it, I will let you know what I think

Cooked it and ate it with some salad and all I can say is 'yum, yum' it was very very nice and I will definately be making it again.

morning! Think I'm popping to a wetherspoons tonight and going to have some food there, so i'll be ordering the 5 bean chilli with rice and tortilla chips, it says 4.5syns on green, I look up tortilla chips and they're 6.5 syns for 28g when listed in the basics food, do you think if I don't eat the tortilla chips that come with it I could knock about 3 syns of the total?

thanks to those who replied about the menu choice!! I dont like salmon, so I went for the chilli. ate it as it came and was absoloutely gorgeous! there would have only been a spoonful each of the creme fraiche, sweet chilli and guacamole. Although i did eat about 4 tortilla crisps, and stole about 3 of my friends chips!
However, the alcohol i drunk would mean that im hugely over my syns anyway. i stuck to rose last night as didnt want a hangover today.
back on track today; no bread in the house, not sure wat to have for breakfast. have just had a cuppa tea. Quite fancy a nice filling sandwich for lunch, so am gonna save my Heb for that. might put on some bacon and beans, and maybe even an egg,...

Huge batch of syn free spaghetti bolognese on the go in the slow cooker at the moment, should do me for tea tonight & a fair few meals after that! I'm still hoping to shed an extra pound by Monday's weigh in so I can get that first stone off, fingers crossed!

Yesterday was my birthday so I had a day off sw! A work colleague had made choc chip flapjack for me as a bday treat so had a slice of that. Was feeling lousy all day (headache, achy, nausea etc) so when I got home from work I munched my way through the remainder of my wholenut from mothers day. At the bday meal I had 2 huge burgers with cheese and bacon and chips  followed by summer fruits sundae and when I came home I had 2 snack a jacks lol. When I have a day off, I really have a day off :rotfl: 3lb heavier on the scales this morning, but apart from feeling ill all day, I had a fab 40th bday :) Also got engaged :D

Back on track today, will be drinking lots of water and eating lots of fruit to try to undo a bit of the damage!

Hope u all have a great saturday xx
