im confused lol
how can we have passata free but tomato puree is a syn? xx0 -
because passatta is just sieved tomato's - puree has other ingredients in it (it's what I've been told anyway!) though it may have to do with the satiety level of the food.0
-
thanks for that, least now i have something to stick in my bolognaise instead of the usual sauces lol xx0

The Arabiatta pasta is only 5 and a half syns on a green or ee day. Marion, I think you calulated it wrong as the figures are for a 450g portion not 100g.
it's my fault, I didn't state the portion size at the beginning. I suppose that makes sense though, the more 'calorie dense' the portion is, the more synful it is, as you feel fuller for much less longer.
Anyways, my trip to Pizza Hut didn't quite happen as i'd planned (the pasta & soft drink) and consisted of: Bruchetta for starter, Arribatta Pasta for main (was lovely and spicy, just great!) and a small glass of Gallo Rose wine. We had the £7 dine in menu rather than the BOGOF on mains offer.
I wondered if someone could look up the syns for the bruchetta pretty please? that's if its on the online list. I can never seem to find a good list of eating out places complete with syns. If not, I have the nutritional info here (with portion size this time
)
200g Portion: 351 cal, 7.4g protein, 40.9g carbs, 17.4g fat, 4.2g sat fat. Oh, and it had tomato's on top!
I'm upto 27 syns so far for yesterday, just gotta add the bruchetta, so for eating out and having a few drinks out afterwards i'm pretty pleased with myself :j

I always struggle with work lunches so thought i'd share my 'healthy extras' lunch today as it's yum
I invested in some 'toast bags' which you can put in the toaster and make toasted sandwiches without the using of butter etc. In it I put a smoked cheese slice (heA), quorn ham slices, and two slices of brown 400g bread (heB). Actually works and tastes (almost) like an unhealthy toasted sandwich. I added a tin of weighwatchers tomato soup (3half syns), but you could always add a HeB soup

For the serving of 200g autumnflower...
14½ Syns per package/portion on Green,
I put green as I presumed you'd be on either that or extra easy since you were having pasta, and since there was no meat etc I can't imagine the syns would be any different.0lbs/18lbs to get to club 100 -

Thanks a bunch melda  so that takes me to 41.5 syns, and i'd set my limit at 40, so pretty true to my estimate :j:jI always struggle with work lunches so thought i'd share my 'healthy extras' lunch today as it's yum

I've got some toastie bags too, their awesome! You can get them from Home Bargains for about 70p or Poundland do them too, if HB don't have them. They last around 100 toastie cycles too! I think i'd be picking up some WW tom soup too, I was just pondering yesterday why even vegetable soup was around 6 syns.Slimming WorldWeek 1 B]-7[/B Week 2 B]+1[/B Week 3 B]STS[/B Week 4 COLOR=DarkOrange]STS-3-2[/B Week 7 COLOR=Red]-1+2[/B Week 9 COLOR=Red]-2[/COLOR

Autumn flower,
Why not make your own soup? its cheaper and you can make it syn free.
For a basic tomato soup i'd go with :
fry some onion and garlic
add tomatoes
add passata
maybe a stock cube or two
water
some herbs.
anything other veg thats lurking at the bottom of the fridge
You could add some lentils or something to make it a little more filling.
I then put some freezer bags in bowls and add about a protion to each, put them all in the freezer and remove the bowls when the soup is frozen (prevents spillage).
Of course it would be easier with tupperware but i never seem to have enough of them!0 -
