:oHi all - I've coming slinking back to the thread:rotfl:

A couple of viruses and generally carpy few months put paid to my weight loss - quite frankly what I eat has been the last thing on my mind - and am yet again under the weather BUT tomorrow is a good day to start again.

So I think that I am back where I started in January - but who cares right? No point dwelling on it all - so PLEASE PLEASE send a bit of encouragement my way. :D

Welcome back Rupe - you know you have done the right thing in coming back -, you will soon be back in the swing of things and we will help keep you in line :rotfl:

Can some kind person remind me which sausages are syn free please?

I have just looked up tesco value mince and was shocked to see 10.5 syns per 100g, is it still thhat high if fat is drained off?
Am worried now about how many syns I have miscounted over the weeks

I am on a very low income and lean mince is out of my budget.:(

If you cook it really well, drain the fat and pat the mince dry with kitchen roll, I don't think you'll find it's any higher in syns than the extra lean, you just get less meat overall (the weight of the pack being a large percentage of fat). In all honesty I think the extra lean would go further so you're probably not saving much by buying the cheaper mince.

If you're doing EE days rather than red, I would bulk out the mince with lentils. They're cheap, nutritious and filling and I honestly don't think your family will notice the difference in taste. If you're making cottage pies (on EE) you could add lots of onion and a tin of baked beans - it makes for a lovely flavour and helps the mince go further.

    Hope that helps.

Oh yeah, damn it, I've come on today, does it really affect the scales? bloody thing doesn;t come near or by for 3 months then decides to turn up 2 days before my 1st WI! typical!

It can make a huge diference to some women, but you (and the Consultant) will know that it's retained fluid so you don't need to worry about it. It'll come strainght back off next week. In any case, as it's your first week, you may well see a loss regardless of your AF.

Hello there :) Hope you're feeling better after your viruses, all the healthy eating you'll be doing should help. Consider yourself to be taking the scenic route to your journey's end, there may be twists and turns, but you'll still get there in the end.

thanks for the tips on the eggs, done some this monring and flipped them, apart from them breaking up it worked better and i still had a yolk lol

i tried the ice cream week or so ago and it didnt work for me, kept crystalising even though i constantly stirred it every 10-15 mins
in end it was just like ice rather than cream so it got binned :(

Thanks consultant31 - its nice to be back:)

OK dudes - opinions please - is it worth axeing the gymn membership and getting a Wii Fit? I do need to reign in the spending asap - my gymn membership can be finished with in a few months - but I do actually use it (and love it) - so its not a case of ending something because its a waste of money.

    What are the opinions ladies??

  • I want a wii fit! :j
I cant really get one while I'm living here but have promised myself one for when I move.
Sorry, not much of an opinion! :o

Well I was going to ggo to the Harvester today with Mum but apart from having the dreaded Period pains from hell, I dont want to mess up my good week, so not going, just going to meet mum and go visit my nanny in hospital.

I'm also going to treat myself to a new phone for mothers day in a bit lol
Me and the boys had a full english, not sure what I'm going to do for lunch or tea, not really feeling up to cooking much today so will probably have a big jacket tattie after visiting my nanny.

Happy mothers day to any other mummies x`

Happy Mother's day to all you mummies and nannies :):D

I was contemplating getting a wii fit too so am very interested in any opinions people have :) it does look really good, esp the yoga and balance exercises (my balance is awful! lol)

Today is another original day ( meat atm!)

B - 2 slices wholemeal toast (heb) with clover light (2syns) and jam (1syn) cup of tea. 3 Rich tea fingers (3syns)

L - BBQ ribs (3.5 syns per 5 ribs). I have been painstakingly removing fat from each rib this morning lol. Chilli chicken thighs (2tbsp chilli sauce (4syns), 1 birds eye chilli, garlic, ginger, lime juice, soy sauce and 5spice powder = made 4 so 1syn per thigh) These will be served with Bistro salad :D Total 5.5syns as will have 2 thighs :)

D - Cheese and crackerbread (hea1 and heb2) with glass of milk (hea2) mullerlight yog.

Snacks/drinks - fruit throughout the day, water, 7up free and caffeine free coke :)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..
