wow you guys are doing great with the losses

when you do fried egg in frylight, do you get a yolk thats soft? i like a runny yolk but cant seem to get it right with so little oil xxx

if you have a plate thats a bit bigger than your pan or a lid pop it over and the top of the yolk will steam whilst the bottom "frys"

moussaka recipe looks good may try that midweek...thanks

Do you not flip the egg over?
I do, and always get a runny but not snotty egg.
I would also suggest investing in a very good non stick pan, I used to have one at my old house and could fry an egg without even having to use frylight, it was superb!
  • Well!
I'm feeling so good today, have had some fruit and a morris muller for BF.
I bought 2 packs of extra lean mince from Tesco for £5 yesterday so just halved each pack and put 3 in the freezer, am using the other one to make HM burgers for tonight for me and DS1, so have just seasoned the mince with garlic, pepper, parsley and onion, it's going to be yummers!

If you drain all the fat off ordinary mince then dry fry is it free or still syned? If its syned then thats where I've been going wrong :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

There must be some difference between lean and normal mince (besides the obvious difference of the amount of fat that releases when cooking) otherwise sw wouldn't state that mince should be extra lean. Even with extra lean you get some fat which is then drained off before adding your other ingredients.
