Hi everyone - can I come and join you? I have been successful with SW in the past but have fallen off the wagon and put it all back on plus some - so I've rejoined online (cause I can't make any of the classes round here - my children have too many committments:D).

I'm really excited about extra easy - and we all love SW food. When I tried WW before the kids started to pick up on points which I wasn't happy about - whereas this is healthy eating for all of us - sorry preaching to the converted:rotfl:

Have been doing it since Saturday so tomorrow is weigh in day:( - hope it reflects the exercise I'm doing. Dh is a bit of an exercise nut and the kids are very fit - there's just me!!

Love this thread - have been reading back - have a good day!

Welcome!!! Good luck with your weigh in! I have also been so good this week (don't believe it myself!). If I can just get through the weekend without being silly to myself I should have a good weigh in on Monday. fingers crossed for both of us:j:j

i dont get star weeks cos of the pill im on so im lucky in that sense

well i cut down on the bananas and ML so my menu has been something like this

    Breaky

1 ML and either one or two bananas

one day i has two toast the small warburtons wholemeal
    beans and scrambled egg

    lunch
i made home made chicken soup, all free with chicken oxo, chicken, leeks, potatoes, onion, parsnip, red split peas,

or bachelors savoury rice which is free
    or jacket potato with beans
or seafood salad, ie prawns, mussels, crab, squid, seafood sticks etc

    dinner
usually chicken dinner with veg ie garden peas, cabbage, carrots, cauli, broccoli, potato, turnip
i have gravy so that uses about 3 or 4 syns
and if i have yorkshire thats 3 syns too

if not chicken then lean minced beef, or lamb with the veg

    or
fish done in oven with sw chips and peas
    or
    chicken tikka and savoury rice

i have skimmed milk in coffee and dont use my full allowance of it though

thanks in advance for the help xx

    that was something else
i lost 7lb in first week now the morning after WI i went up 4llb which was odd cos it had been decreasing nicely until the WI and i didnt do anything on WI day to sabotage it
so this second week its as though ive been trying to get that 4llb off
even on morning of second WI my weight was fluctuating up and down over a 3llb area and that was without having anything to eat or drink before WI as its a 9.30 class

Kath I just wouldn't weigh myself between classes, your scales don't sound very accurate. Give your scales to a friend or member of your family to keep for a couple weeks, and see how your weight pans out over the couple of weeks by weighing in at class only, some peoples weigh in each week may not seem entirely accurate...but if at the end of 2 weeks sticking to the plan you've lost overall I'd just go by that. Everyones different...

lol that would be hard to do cos i get on them every morning lol
    but i know your right
must admit when i was doing weight watchers i used to get so disheartened cos id lose weight and then on day of WI i would suddenly put weight on, it was an evening class and by time class come id obviously eaten and drunk tea, so always ended up putting even more weight on, then following morning it would be back down again
i ended up giving up cos when i knew my weight was heavier than precious week on WI day i would skip class with all good intention of losing the weight following week, but it was a vicious circle and weeks went by doing same thing
maybe i have an allergy to WI which makes me put pounds on lol

Just caught up the past couple of days.

I've been a bit off plan as we had a function to go to but am trying to be good now.
How do you all cope with the cravings for sweet stuff, particularly just before star week. I really feel I NEED sweet carbohydrates and find it hard to resist. is there a good substitute???
    Trying to keep in budget.

I have a major sweet tooth gien, and now eat chocolate more often than I did when I wasn't on slimming world.

Each day I have a funsize bag of maltesers (5 syns) with a cup of tea, and eat them slowly. I find they're a really good sweet fix. Also I sometimes have funsize milky way stars (3.5 syns a bag), funsize milky bar buttons are 4 syns a bag. French fancy's are also good at 5.5 syns per cake.
