Morning Marion and everyone.
I think that a centilitre (cl) is 10 millilitres (ml) so a 75cl bottle of wine would be 750 millilitres. I would hang fire though until somebody else confirms (or rubbishes) this!
Enjoy your evening!
Morning!!
yup 1 cl = 10ml
I'm havin a lazy weekend inEveryone enjoy their nights out and the rest of the weekend!! (... oooh and more importantly - the wine!! hehe

hi
please can someone help me.... I'm trying to find out what the Image Therapy session involves in other groups.... I have been a SW member for a few weeks, and the session at my group is pretty much just detailing everyone's results for the week, and if it's bad explaining why, and if it's good, asking if we're happy etc... I had really hoped it would be more informative and would be a time to share tips etc. so I just wondered if other peoples experience is different?
thanks

Ive been a member of three different classes, they are all pretty much the same as yours but my first and present classes were better as they ask everyone to share one recipe they have made that week, we have taster sessions etc. I think its important to stay to class as it gives you the motivation to lose as others will praise you, and motivate you if your struggling.
We get to hear tips and recipes, and even just sitting talking to the person next to you, you will always find out something new or can tell them if they are doing something wrong. its not just about the consultant standing up and talking but what you find out from others really.
Maybe you could mention to your consultant that youd like to hear more tips and recipes or suggest a taster night. Everyone just makes or brings something small that is free or low syn.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Sounds like my club too. I used to go to WW years ago and I must say that their meetings were much more informative. I was surprised when I started SW because I thought I was missing out on the image therapy thing! But apparantly that is how it goes. I must admit it gets a little boring sometimes. ie - Mrs A has lost 1 lb this week (everyone applauds) how do you feel about that? Did you have any problems doing that? How much would you like to lose next week, applaud, on to the next!
Then a raffle and then home.

I've only been to 2 meetings so far and I'm already wondering if it's worth my £4.95 - I used to go to ww and I prefered it there because the consultant weighed you and you could have a private chat about your loss/gain whereas at sw someone else weighs you and they literally tell you your weight. I'm also not keen on the going round the group telling everyone about how well or not so well you have done. At ww you only shared your info if you wanted to! I do prefer the sw eating plans though, much less hassle than having to point absolutely everything, but I think I may just do it at home instead of going to the meetings. Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0

Well done on the weight loss take it easy!
Karen, this is my 3rd time at a SW club, and the only time I haven't stayed to a group as I just don't have the time to sit around for an hour and a half this time around. To be honest I feel the 4.95 is worth it for a weigh in by someone else to keep me on track, and the thought that the meeting is there if I feel I'm really going off track now and again. I've tried to lose weight by myself before but it just doesn't work, and that weigh in by someone who doesn't know me really is an incentive to keep on track. £4.95 is hardly a bargain, but I'm hardly even going out at the moment because I just don't have the time nor do i fancy it, so my justification is that if I'd been going out once a week I would have easily spent a fiver on a large glass of wine somewhere. It's also good to be able to access the slimming world site for searching things and finding new free foods, I also love charting my weight loss, if something is taking a while it's nice to see it still going in the downward direction! I guess Karen it just depends on whether you can keep yourself on track by weighing yourself at home if you feel the meetings aren't worth your money...I think I could for a few weeks but when the going gets tough it'd probably just be another failed diet. You could maybe get someone at home to weigh you in every week?0lbs/18lbs to get to club 100 -
Our image therapy sessions are really good. we have a chat about gains/losses, slimmer of the week is announced and they get to give a run through of their week and then answer questions about how they lost. The consultant then tells us about a new product (like those half syn jellies) or new initiative (like the community challenge starting next week). After that she'll ask us all to set a target for next week, we can ask and give recipies if we like after that, we talk about local exercise groups then we wind up by wishing each other good luck for next week. We have taster sessions on occasion, next one is this week and mums bringing her syn free curry.
My group is split though, we go to the later one as it's quieter, the early group has loads more people so their sessions aren't as good as ours we don't think.0
