Seems to be mentioned a few times that those that did SW a few years back lost more then compared to trying the diet now. Wonder why that is?

Might just be me, but I think most diets do work best first time round!

  • Morning :)

    brrrrrrrrr i'm soooooo cold!!!

Had some nice hot porridge for breakfast. Yum!

With sausages, could you get some lean pork mince and make your own (obv without the skin bit)... ? That way you know exactly whats in them, you can add your own spices and seasoning and you can cook them in a way that enables any excess fat to drain away. I do that for meatballs and they turn out lovely, even if i cook them in the oven rather than in a pan.
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    - you could see if there are any near you and ask if they do any without additives like this? I always assume butchers sausages are more meat than supermarket produced ones ;) Knowing my local butchers if you were to buy a bulk of sausages for your freezer they may even make a special batch up for you!

I don't know where in the country you are but here is cardiff is a lovely butcher who had to pay a huge ammount of money to advertise his sausages as syn free for SW . They argorgeous. I ring him and get him to make me a batch of 30+ at a time and freeze them My BF is on a gluten free diet and she can eat them. As you said loads more meat than supermarket ones so i prefer giving these to DS. His beef burgers are also syn free and are devine x x

  • Good morning all - I've been having a couple of bingy days so back on track today big time. My mum and my sis went for their first weigh in last night. Like I said before mum is a vegan, has a low thyroid and is normally a very, very slow loser - well she lost 5.5 pounds last night and actually did the happy dance by the scales! LOL!! (She wears her heart on her sleeve!!) My sis lost 1.5 which is amazing because we had 3 birthday parties this week and I saw what she ate and drank at those LOL! She's very encouraged too and in full swing now!

    Food today looks like this:
B: fruit and yogs - all I had time for
L: a ham and cheese (HEa) sandwich with 2x nimble (HEb) with more fruit and yog
D: I'm thinking the lamb biryini from the mag....

Could someone please post the recipe for the mushy pea curry again - sorry for being a pest!
