Morning all, can anyone recommend some good workout DVDs? I need to get my bum moving after the lush Valentines dinner we had at the local pub last night :) I lost count after about 2million syns!

  • i bought a Tae Bo (kickboxing) 3 dvd box set for £4.99 about 8 months ago.. its really hard going at first but i feel really de-stressed and energised after. I started with the warm up sections of the dvds first and only once i could do them without getting too out of breath i moved on to the main workout section.....

i find it better when i have PMT and i can imagine i'm kicking the hell out of anyone who's annoyed me :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    Hello everyone !

I've only just started on SW this weekend, years after failing miserably to get my head around it but after buying a magazine decided to give Easy Extra a go.

I haven't gone to a meeting yet so I'm just working out of the 2 new mags from this year and some really old ones.

Can some kind person please tell me the syn value for WW marmalade/jam. I was planning on having fruit/yoghurt and toast and marmalade for my brekky tomorrow.

Looking at the old mags, am I right in thinking that any recipe in them which is nil syns for green and red that I can either add pasta etc to them and still count them as nil on EE ??

I'll probably be asking loads of questions so please bear with me - I'm really hoping that this works for me this time;)
  • Hello everyone, it's lovely to see that the Slimming World support thread is still going strong. After doing well last year, I've let it all slip and piled on far more pounds that I intended over the Christmas hols. I've got some big things going on later in the year so am determined to get my self back on track. I've worked out that I've got 15 weeks to lose 35lb and if I'm an :A I might just do it!

Looking forward to seeing everyone's progress. Off to catch up on some of the thread!

  • Hi Ceecee and welcome to the thread!

Everyone on here is really helpful and friendly - i only joined the thread the beginning of the week :)

I know that reduced sugar jam is 0.5 syns per level tsp. I buy the Streamline one. My food directory says the ww fruit spreads are 0.5syns per level tsp but my book is fairly old so it may have changed :)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    hi and welcome.

First, yes if the recipe says its free on EE you can still add potatoes, lean meat, pasta, rice and it would still be free.

I cant find weight watchers jam on the website im afraid

Thanks Vixie - I'm sure that will be near enough...I'm going to make the Chicken Pie in the new mag. I'm going to half the recipe and make it last 2 days so hopefully it will be nice !

I'm on holiday in 4 weeks and had been trying to lose weight from the Tesco diet site - managed OK at first but then their website got on my nerves and I gave up. Managed to loose 4 pounds in 6 weeks so that wasn;t brilliant.

I really dont want to feel like a beached whale on holiday (especially as its a singles holiday !!) so even another 4 or so pounds will make me feel better.

The more I read about EE the more it seems a bit too good to be true - but time will tell

i love EE days :) at first i kept forgetting i could only have 1 HEA and 1 HEB tho! Now i've been on the plan for a couple of weeks now i'm getting used to it!

I can't find my scales and as im doing SW from home i haven't weighed myself yet.. but my clothes feel a bit looser around my belly and my face isn't so puffy so i'm losing.. i'm gonna pop into the health centre and get the nurse to weigh me 2mro if i dont find them by the end of the day :)

Wishin you all the best!! Everyone on here gives you a great motivation boost :) plus some excellent recipe ideas :D
