  • Hey guys, just a quick update - down another 3lbs this week so yey! :j
Although, I have had an absolutely awful 3 days so i'm gonna have to work my hardest next week to be good :-)

I'm going on a shop for some food, and was horrified that my local ££-Stretcher had RAN OUT of low fat super noodles! I'm gutted, they were only 32p, and if I want some now i'll have to pay 58p in sainsburys coz they're not on offer either

I will post about my awful end of week later, just wanted to ask a quick Q on the syn value of Richmond Skinless Sausages, as they are on offer at Netto's at the moment :D and i'm a big fan of these! I can't seem find the value online for these, can only find the normal richmond ones.

oh, and a big wave hello to all the new joiners! :T:j

Well you have our group here:love:

Why don't you email SW and tell them. It might highlight to them that they need to look into starting a group nearby x x x

aw thanks wendyphant  this group is fab!!!

I might email them and ask them why they stopped my old local group. There are groups close to where i work but i'm unable to leave the office at the time they are held (10am) grr why cant they have them at lunchtime!?? :( i'll ask SW that too :D

    new beginnings...... new successes..
  • Autumnflower, I guess you wanted the pot noodles because you make them up at work, but I make a syn free (almost) stir fry at home and heat it in the microwave at work and it is fab and so fast to make.

    1. Put the kettle on

    2. Prepare your vegetables - garlic, ginger, (vital really those two, I cut them into thin slices and then the ginger cut again into little strips), lemongrass, spring onions, broccoli, pepper, mushrooms, baby corn, french beans, chilli - anything you've got that will be edible with 1 - 2 minutes cooking, all chopped to an appropriate size. Put them all into a small bowl, 1 teaspoonful of sesame oil (2 syns) with a grating of black pepper and some chilli flakes if not using fresh chilli. Zap in micro for one or two mins, depending how much there is you don't want the garlic to burn. Remove.

    3. Put dried noodles into larger bowl, pour boiling water over (not too much, just to cover). If adding frozen peas throw them in too. Microwave for 2 mins or as instructed on packet. Remove. If adding frozen prawns add them now and leave the bowl sitting for a minute.

    4. Drain the noodles/peas/prawns, tip back into bowl, add the contents of vegetable bowl and a splosh of oyster sauce ( one tablespoon is half a syn and frankly a teaspoon is enough!) and some soy sauce. You won't need salt.

    5. Stir it about and give it another 40 - 60 seconds to warm through the sauces.

6 minutes maximum and 2 and a bit syns), it'll take you longer than that to eat it.:rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

  • i have just made up a pkt of aldi - make it in minutes chicken & mushroom pasta - i have used the milk from my HE and didn't put any butter in (just a tin of tuna) i have looked it up on SW and it says it is 1.5 syns per 100 grms cooked as directed
does this mean, because there was no butter in, & i used my own milk, it should be free?

Well done to all this week's losers and sts'ers (not sure if that is a word but hope you know what I mean)

I only lost 1/2 lb this week  I have eaten out 3 times this week but have tried to make wise choices at the same time.

I had a goal to lose a stone before I went wedding dress shopping week of 8th March so hoping to still do it as only got 2 1/2 lbs to lose
