Which bit do you need the syns for? The nutella?

A 'level' tbsp is one after a knife has been scraped across the top of the spoon - so not very much for 4 syns!

  • Hi Late posting but i lost another 1 lb this weeks so that 7.1/2 in 5 weeks.
    got my badge

one more week before my holiday and already reached my target of 7lb before my holidays.

I must say this is the easiest diet I have ever been on I know its not a diet as such but healthy eating but when trying to lose weight I see it as dieting.

I have loads to lose so at the rate I am losing its going to be a long haul so keep setting targets to reach my next target will be for my june holiday but depending how much I put on this holiday I will then set my new target.

Its great to read everyones posts and to get ideas for meals

I made a lovely lasagne last night using quorn mince and a Schwartz packet cheese mix.
I have to say it was fab, everybody loved it. The sauce mix was 7 syns for the pack, so between 4 it is under 2 syns each, and it was really cheesy. Id used our hea allowance by putting mozzarella in between the mince and pasta layers and only poured the cheese on the top, this made it gooey in the middle and a lovely topping. Ive made it with natural yoghurt before and hated it, so this is the way ill make it from now on.

Today I am having an EE day until dinner time then im having flexi syns for dinner as we are having a M&S Dine in deal.
we chose the Scallops with chilli butter . Im serving this with some rocket and crispy bacon bits.
Then - rack of lamb with pine nuts, roasted med veg then melt in the middle puddings. I think the puddings are 17 syns each, so thats the biggest extravagance.
We also have a bottle of sparking wine to have with it.

This is a one night off valentine treat, we are not going to buy anymore wine, so it is only the one bottle.

Ive been very good the last few days since WI and will be on plan tomorrow morning.

When im not drinking alcohol I quite like a soda and lime. The splash of lime wouldnt be syn free as I doubt it would be sugar free but it would be minimal in each drink and its nice and refreshing. Also if you like a beer the non alcholoic beers are quite low syns you could maybe have a bottle so you feel like you are not missing out. I tried most of the different varieties when i was pregnant and they some are hard to tell the difference with the ones with alcohol.

i just had a look online at the Britvic J20 bottles, the 330ml ones are 8 syns  thats more than a full fat beer.

I joined a step class a few years ago, it was meant to be beginners and the leader was shouting out instructions at 100 miles an hour and everyone was following, I was 4 steps behind the whole way through. I then got shouted at in a pilates class because I had to stop for a sec. I do like the idea of a class as I hate the gym and classes are more enjoyable, but my experiences have never been positive. I must try a different place.

Having been to a couple of fab parties lately where I (and everyone else, all ages, all sizes, both sexes) were dancing away for ours to various types of music, I would love to start a "non-class" where for say 2 hours a night we used the back room of a pub and there was music playing and it's a drop in for ANYONE to just DANCE, no partners, no steps, no left and right to get mixed up (is that just me?), no teacher snapping ..... I would love it and I'm sure others would, you wouldn't have to be there the full two hours, just drop in and out, no special clothes .... oh I could go on, it's my dream.:j:j:j:j:j
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • The other evening for supper I had Co-op's own undyed kipper fillets, supposed to be boil in the bag but can be microwaved. Micro is best because you can cut open the pack and Take Out The Slab of Butter! I did sprinkle butterbuds over when they were cooked, they were moist and squishy and absolutely delicious and I believe kippers are free on EE and Orig! Yummy.

PS does anyone have the Syns for Cadbury Options please, I just had one (sachet) but cannot find them in the book or online.

I lost 1.5 lb last week in spite of sore throat and taking loads of yucky over-sweet medicines

I love that idea and I would definently go to something like that. Loads of cheesy pop. I sometimes dance along to music in the house with the kids, but only if the oh is out to be honest. We make up silly dances and routines, you have so much fun you dont realise you are doing exercise.

It isnt Cadbury that make Options. Did you mean Highlights? All the option ones are 2 syns each (I love the Belgium Choc ones)

The Cadbury highlights are 2 syns as well.
