Thanks for those great ideas consultant, I ended up having some cheese and a wholemeal cracker. I too am very concious of the dairy/calcium, not that I have a family history or anything, but I know it can be an issue for women as they get older. I assume that VLF yogurts have the same amount of calcium as 'normal' ones, just don't know if it's as well absorbed withough the fat.
today I've bben good:
B; bite sized shredded wheat and milk + suger (2 syns)
L: salad and omlette (2 syns for the dressing) VLF yogrut.pasta carbonara (1 syn) pineapple, lF cottage cheese (3 syns)
I also sampled some seasonal food at my language course today. Only a few nibbles of a bread type thingy and a large kind of crispy sweet poppadom. ALl inall maybe 2-3 syns?
So, on track. I shall have a milky coffe later to use up the last of the milk and maybe a little piece of choccy!
I'm off on holiday next week so I will have to be careful!Trying to keep in budget.

It's always better to be late in this life, than early in the next0 -
Last night was awful in class, our poor consultant was all over the place and running very late, when she stood up to tell everyone she was ready she burst into tears and announced she'd just found out she has breast cancer.
Sorry to hear about your consultant Nic. Hope her employers treat her well and more importantly she beats this thing.
I was diagnosed with bc last July, just after I had joinned slimming world. Had an op to remove the lump followed by radiotherapy so missed a few classes. Phoned my consultant each week to say when I wouldnt be there. When I went back, was told I had to join again. Was so disgusted I walked out and never went back. Still trying to stick to the diet though as on medication now which has weight gain as a side effect, so hoping if I stick to the diet will sts or at least slow down any weight gain. Certainly not losing anyhow0 -
Today:
B = 2 fat free yogurts with blueberries.
L = Hubby cooked chicken, mushrooms, carrots, onions in a slow cooker with Colmans casserole Sachet. Not sure how many syns that is. I cooked some roast potatoes with fry light so I guess that was a EE meal.
D = 3 ryvitas with grated cheese and tomatoes. (hea2) heb1)
S = Lots of fruit . Tea with milk (hea1)0 -
Can you let me know if this sounds okay please?
bf - banana
morning snack - banana
lunch - mushy peas
afternoon snack - few strawberries
supper - lean minced beef, mushrooms, passata and pasta 42gm cathedral city lighter - HEa
dessert - chopped banana and mullerlight
The stand-in leader I had last night (first night) said it's ok that I tend not to eat much during the day and then eat lots in the evening. Haven't had my healthy b because I seem to find it difficult to fit in when I do EE days!
Oh, forgot my syns - have had 1/2 packet of sugarfree polos throughout the day - 2 syns.Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0 -

If you are having an extra easy day you can only have 1 HEa & 1 HEb per day.
So you would need to syn the milk, half a syn per splash, as long as the cheese was a measured amount.
Hope that helps.0 -
2 POUNDS OFF AND SLIMMER OF THE WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ok,I'll stop shouting now!I'm proper chuffed:T:jHalf a stone off,only another 2 to go!:j:T
:D;)Cats are truly evil,like women....;):D:p
Was 11 st 5,now 10 st 7,would like to be....9 stone0 -
You just had mushy peas for lunch? :eek: I'm afraid I wouldn't agree with your consultant but what would I know, lol. The less you eat (and you're not even having 3 proper meals) the more your body will store as fat for 'lean times' when food was scarce regardless of how much you eat in the evenings (and for me your evening isn't 'a lot' of food!).0
