I think part of it is because I brought a disc on Ebay with the books scanned in thinking I could print them out but whe I tried they came out so small I couldn't read them
I think I actually need to get the proper books which means either buying them off Ebay (expensive) or going to a class which I don't really want to do. I've been trying my best using the website but it isn't always accessible.
By the way does anyone know if there anywhere I can find a list of cereals which come under HEB that I can print out? I was having Ready Brek but stopped as I thought you had to syn it and brought some Shreddies as thought that would come under HEB but have now found out they are 5 syns per 28g!
Hopefully if I can get the books I will find it easier.
It's such a shame that so many people are taken in by the sellers on eBay. For a start, these people are selling something which is copyright protected and is therefore illegal for them to sell and then it's not even useful
By far the cheapest and best way is to join a group. If you're shy you can get all the info from the website and then ring the Consultant from your nearest group. I'm sure she'll put you at your ease. The books are cheaper than eBay (by a very long way) and you will get an in-depth explanation of how the plan works.....you can't go wrongI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi, I am a lapsed SW-er (lost more than 3 stone previously). But then our class closed down and all the weight, plus a bit more, crept back on over the last 2 years. I've finally hit the point when I've accepted I've get to get back on track - I'll never be a skinny-minny (too curvy!) but I'm starting to worry about my health.
So, here I am, about to launch back on SW. Hope I can join your merry band as we still don't have a class within 50 miles?
Since I've been away, I see that Extra Easy has been introduced and, from what I gather, I think it may suit me. My meals are relatively healthy but it's the snacks, sweets and booze that are my downfall. So, from my understanding, on Extra Easy you can eat 3 meals a day made up of any Green or Original free foods, plus 1 HEA and 1 HEB, then give a syn value to any thing that isn't free. Is this right? I hope so! I always liked doing Mix 2 Max as I found it a bit boring, sticking to Green or Red days.
Wish me luck!0 -
I had a good day considering that I had lunch out in the wide world today!
EE Day
B - Special K (+6.5 syns)+ 250ml milk (HeA)
L - Subway salad with tuna mayo (5 syns for the mayo, no doubt its full fat)
D - Lean bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and chopped tomatoes.
Snacks - BGTY Multigrain bar - (HeB), banana, muller light, apple & grapes
Total = 11.5 syns.
Just wanted to double check that Special K is not in the HeB section of cereals.
and to check to see if it is true that Shreddies are HeB's???
Coz i'd be over the moon, and straight in sainsburys buying some when the K's have ran out.
Also, I worked out that I have averaged out my begining of the week bread induced madness out and now I am averaging at 14.4 syns per day. Woohoo!! :TSlimming WorldWeek 1 B]-7[/B Week 2 B]+1[/B Week 3 B]STS[/B Week 4 COLOR=DarkOrange]STS-3-2[/B Week 7 COLOR=Red]-1+2[/B Week 9 COLOR=Red]-2[/COLOR

28g of Special K Sustain IS a HEb as is 28g shreddies (original or honey) plus a Ryvita wholgrain.
Other Shredded Wheat's are HEb's too - biteseize/organic, fruitful & honey nut varieties.0 -

Is the Ryvita part of the deal, or can you have 42g of the cereal alone?
Have I got the syn value of the normal/plain Special K correct at 6.5 syns per 28g?
Also, I wanted to do my own tomato sauce/base for pasta, and my own curry sauce thats made with curry powder. does anyone have some simple recipes for me please?
One last thing, i've got a Sainsburys Tomato and Herb Pasta Sauce 290g and wondered if someone would kindly check the syn value for it please.
Sorry for the 20 Q's:A

Went to Holland and Barrett to get some Scan Bran crispbread and it's buy one packet , get 2nd packet half price.:money: So got 4 packets. Hope I like them:rotfl:
Well done to all the losers :T0 -
You should have Ryvita if you are following SW 100% - it increases the fibre intake to the recommended level - and it's 28g of all the cereals.

My tomato sauce for pasta? 1 tin of chopped toms, whatever else you fancy and a little passata - done! I made one tonight with courgettes, peppers, mushrooms & onion. Curry sauce is really onion, chopped toms & a mixture of tumeric, cumin, coriander & a few others - I never find the premixed curry powders taste right.

If you like Ryvita's you'll probably be ok. I don't like anything like that really but I did bear with the SB and I've grown to like them - they're great with your HEa Dairylea spread on them - plus you can add cucumber. cherry toms etc!0
