  • Thanks Marion, think I'm managing with the black coffee so may use the HEA for some cheese, any ideas about the alcohol.
    Thanks

    Thanks

It all depends on the size of your drinks really:

Drinks - Alcoholic, Wine, Red wine, 175ml 6
Drinks - Alcoholic, Wine, Red wine, 250ml 8½
Drinks - Alcoholic, Wine, White wine, dry, 175ml 6
    Drinks - Alcoholic, Spirits, Gin, 35ml 4

If it was me it would be a hard decision between the red wine or the gin:o. but I would probably go for the gin in a very tall glass filled to the top with slim line tonic and a slice of lemon! Then inbetween drinks I would just have tonic on its own and try and convince myself I could taste the gin!:rotfl::rotfl:

How is the amount of syns you can have each worked out please?
Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass :)

It is more or less the same for everyone. When you join SW you are told to have between 5 and 15 syns. It is all worked out by nutritionalists at SW. As you get closer to goal you might have to go down to the lower end of the scale. If you have loads to lose - say more than 7 stone you may be told by your consultant that you can have 20 syns but normally you should stick to the 5 - 15 a day.

It actually states on the SW website that if you have more than 3/4 stone to lose you may have more syns - first I've heard of it and I certainly haven't been given more! :(:rotfl:

Its a hard one. I would eat before you go so that your full and less likely to nibble. if youve been really good all week you could take it as a flexi syns day and enjoy a couple of sausage rolls and some cake. It depends on how good your will power is. mine is rubbish so I would have the flexisyns day. that way you can relax a bit and not torture yourself.
Im going to a 40th birthday on the 20th, i know there will be lovely buffet food and plenty of alcohol, I plan to be really good the week leading up to it then have a flexi syns day. i know I wouldnt be able to resist all that temptationa and it would ruin my night just staring at the buffet and watching everyone else get hammered.

Thanks SC, I wasn't sure how much extra you had to lose to get the extra syns. I was given 20 syns a day and still have trouble sticking to that!:o:o

    Good afternoon.

I've had a bad weekend so far - my DH cooked last night and it was not slimming world friendly that's for sure. I also had some wine.
    Today it's better:
B: Scrambled eggs on 1 slice toast
L: all day breakfast, cooked in frylight, fat free yogurt, kiwi fruit.
    D: SW chicken passanda.

I way in tomorrow so I hope the weekend hasn't trashed any chance of any weight loss - good thing was I went swimming this morning. I'm only wanting it to go slowly, a pound a week will suit me fine but I do want ot see a downward trend!
    Trying to keep in budget.
