Hi all, does the following sound ok for an EE day?

Breakfast -
Eggs, bacon (fat removed) quorn sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes all cooked in frylight and baked beans

Lunch - tub of mango, mini tub of ben and jerrys ice cream (14 syns?) and a mullerlight

Dinner - home made chicken kiev
Chicken breasts stuffed with an extra light laughing cow cheese triangle, garlic and herbs, coated in breadcrumbs (HEb, wholemeal bread) and SW chips and peas

I'm stuffed after that lot, I hope I'm doing this right!

Hi Liz, breakfast looks good, lunch (ahem:eek:), most ben and jerrys is around 12 syns per 100g - what size was your mini one? Dinner sounds good on the whole, hope you don't mind me saying perhaps a few more vegetables and fruit might be added.

Marion:)

Thanks, the Ben and Jerrys......yeah spotted in Tesco and couldn't walk away without trying some! it contained 100grms I think? about 300 calories. Can't remember now, sorry! it was good ice cream but I don't think it's worth the syns really.

As for veg and fruit, I couldn't eat any more if I wanted to! I'm stuffed!

Let us know how you get on with the lasagne from the mag - I quite fancy that although I'm not sure if the yoghurt /egg combo on the top sounds that nice. But you've got to try !

I was thinking an alternative might be to mix some strong soft cheese with a tub of quark and smear it on (although you'd obviously have to syn or use a Hea for the cheese).

I'm afraid I haven't made it yet but will prob do it mon or tues.To be honest I'm a bit worried about the topping splitting but I'm gonna put the oven on a little lower and cook it a bit longer I think:D

• Hi all
I need to loose some weight (about 1.5- 2 stone) and have been to ww on and off for the last 8 years, I get to near to goal stop going then get to where i am now and start to feel horrid so think about going back.
But I am just so sick of the point counting and writing everything down so think i need to try something different. Am thinking of joining sw later this week, have bought mag and thought maybe follow plan in there till i go. I remember trying it before but could never do the red days but understand it has changed now.
How long are meetings and what happens.
thanks in advance

• Hey all, WI was today, and i've lost 5lbs! :j
Miles more than I thought, I don't feel any difference weightwise really.
My body must disagree with me however. I'm well chuffed anyhow!! :D

Here are my meals for the weekend. I never go out on weekends, so they're generally syn safe, it's during the week I have to watch out!! :rotfl:

Friday - Red

B - Special K (+5.5)+ 250ml milk (HeA)
L - Subway salad with tuna mayo (5 syns for the mayo, no doubt its full fat)
D - Lean bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and chopped tomatoes.
Snacks - BGTY Multigrain bar - (HeB), 2 x banana, muller light, 2 x apple & grapes.
Total = 10.5 syns.

EE Day
B - 1 Slice of Warburton’s Toastie white bread (400g loaf) + light butter (4 syns) + Multigrain Cereal Bar (HeB)
L - Pizza Hut Express Warm Chicken Salad (aprox. 5 syns for the coating & cooking method)
D- Jacket potato + butter (1syn) with salad + bit of pasta
Total = 10 syns

Green Day

B/L - Special K (5.5 syns) + 150ml Milk (HeA)
D - Chicken (HeB) & lots of Roast Vegetables + SW Chips
Snacks - Apple, Banana, Muller Light & BGTY Cereal Bar (HeB) + Skips (5 syns), low fat Supernoodles (Free)

Total = 10.5 syns

I'm trying to use up all of my Special K, then i'm going to buy some All Bran Plus, as you can have 42g of it seeing as it's high fibre, so I can have a big and quick breakfast, with the added bonus of me actually really liking all bran just on their own :p

I just wanted to double check a few syn values, if that's okay?

Slice of Warburton’s Toastie White Bread (400g loaf), I just took the value for 'thin white bread slice' but the Toastie one is thicker than most 400g loafs I think.

and to see if I can get a more accurate syn value for:
Pizza Hut Express Warm Chicken Salad
I took an unplanned visit to MeadowHall, and refused to pay £6 for a jacket potato and a drink :eek:, and this seemed the most SW and pocket friendly option.

and congratualtions on the losses karen-d-zar and Debjay! :T

I'm hoping to join a local sw club on Wednesday, but until then would it be possible for someone to post the HEa's please. I like green days best but am struggling with a's because I don't like milk and am unsure what I could have apart from the 28g cheese that retiredlady kindly confirmed for me. Is it important that you have 2 a's each day unless doing EE? Also is it necessary to use all syns or am I ok to stick to about 5 (I have about 2.5 stone to lose). I take a few different supplements each day so until I know how many syns they contain I'm trying to keep it low!

Many thanks xx

You don't have to have both of your HEA you can choose to have only one if you prefer. You should have both HEB's though. If you are pregnant and nursing of course have both your A's!

I will try and get a list for you tomorrow, getting a bit late for me now!
