Otherwise you have to syn at least half the bread (or 3/4's if it's from a 800g loaf or is brown rather than wholemeal)
Thanks Skint Catt and yes absolutely right. I will have to syn the bread as I have already used my HEBs up.Slimming world Restart 29/08/11 weight unknown?? 46 days until I go home :j0 -

Lol, I make everything hot carla - I put chilli flakes and/or tabasco in everything! Meatball sauce, lasagne, cottage pie, stir-fry, (chillies & curry's of course!) I do overdo it occasionally too though :rotfl:0
-
Me too Skint_Catt - I go through loads of chilli flakes! I put them on everything! Plus eggs are not edible without tabasco!0

I also love chilli flakes. I love them on my SW wedges with sweet chilli sauce. I love fresh red chillis in most things also they taste so good. Im going to try and grow more this year, I only managed a few green ones, they were dying before turning red.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0

I'm so desperate for a decent loss this week, I live away from the OH at the moment and so it means there's nice little goals to lose a bit more each time I see him...and the next time is Valentines weekend, I really want to cross over into the next 'stone' too if you know what I mean sometime soon.
congratulations all the losers, and motivation vibes to all the rest....
Today is:
B: Apricot wheats (heB), with milk (some heA) banana, blueberries and herbal tea
Snacks: Apple, grapes.
L:Jacket potato and Baked Beans, again, at uni so without salad.
Snack: funsize maltesers and cup of tea
Dinner is going to be Homemade veg soup, and omelet with low low cheese (heA) and tomatoes.
Snacks later if I fancy them: Hifi Bar (heB), satsuma, fat free activia, fondant fancy 5.50lbs/18lbs to get to club 100 -
Hahahaha, this made me giggle!! :rotfl:I was saying that my big ginger OH was doing the step aerobics with the Miis and really getting into it! BUT you can create your own Mii and use them on Wii Fit if you like - we made ones that were meant to be each of us, along with a load of other random characters, and it's spooky how much OH's looks like him!
We all have our own Miis but I thought this was some comedy character (maybe he is anyway!!!) and I wanted one0 -

I started it up on Sunday but i'm not going to be going to classes, so I thought i'd chat here for some moral support :-) i'm using books that I got off a friend, but I am slightly stuck on syn values and such.
I was wondering, what do people snack on at night that isn't bread? because it's my absolute downfall, I've had 5 extra slices of warburtons wholemeal 400g loaf today alone, with an extra 2 as my HEB!!! Could someone please enlighten me on the syn value of the bread please?
Also, I was planning on having risotto for tea tomorrow, and it mentions that pasta rice and grains are free foods on green, but it doesn't list risotto, so I was wondering weather that was a syn or not.
anyways, here are two days worth of meals, some comments/improvements would be appreciated
EE Day
B - 2 slices of kingsmill 50/50 toast (10 syns)
L - Apple
D - Chicken stir fry with rice, and rice noodles, stir fry veg and soy sauce
Snacks - 10 pickled onions (free)
3 Sunflower seed ryvita's (Syns? not sure how many)
2 slices of warburtons wholemeal toast - HEB
7 lots of it's not butter light (7 syns)
Pretty bad start, but I did do an hour workout on my dancemat, which said I had burnt off 300 calories.
EE Day
B/L woke up at 2pm
2 Warburton slices - HEB with 2 sainsburys BGTY bacon medallions + tomato sauce (1 syn i think?)
D - boiled potatoes with salad and 2 slices of ham + bread slice.
(about 3 lots of light butter) + 3syns.
Snacks - 2 apples, 5 slices of bread (syns??), 2 with butter (2syns), and went out tonight and had a 330ml bottle of strongbow. (+???)
So, i've been doing okay exept for the bread, so wondered what I could change instead. I also realise i've not been using my HEA, but I'm not a huge cheese fan, and being a student, i never get milk because I use it once in the 3 day window of it going off! Also just to add, I only have a sainsburys near me to shop inand a bit of a budget going on.
love to hear back from you all :j:j
I know how you feel because bread is my favourite food ,but I think you have to rethink the quantity of bread that you want to eat .
It is hard. Very Hard (for me anyway)
SW says that no foods are forbidden.Thats true, however bread & pastry are so high in syns (for how much you get) that Me & my OH refer to it as "the devils food" Lol.Also there comes a time when you need syns for other things (alcohol, cake, crisps, cheese etc..) & if you have used them all up for your bread- then you are in trouble.
If you can try to just stick to using your heb for bread it will help your weight loss in the long run- however if you want to use yours syns for bread, thats up to you.
If having a cooked breakfast try some sliced cooked potatoes to bulk it out (instead of bread.)
I find the plan easy to follow when I have time to prepare & plan.Last week I had a week off & it was lovely, now I'm back at work it requires a bit more effort & a lot more discipline( i work in a supermarket surrounded by lovely food!!!)
Everyone is different but you will find a way to make the plan work for you.:)
good luck
