Afternoon All,
It is my last day off today, so things could get tricky from tomorrow unless I stay organised. Night shifts are usually my downfall with my colleagues usually getting takeaways, so I really need to make sure I take food with me and resist temptation!
It's a red day today:
B/L - poached egg on 2 x wholemeal toast (400g loaf) HEB with 2 x laughing cow light as spread (HEA), Banana and a fairy cake (4.5 syns)
D - I have taken some chicken breasts out and may do slimming world KFC chicken or a chicken curry. I'll have to syn the rice if I do the curry whereas if I do the chicken I can have SW potato wedges as my other HEB. KFC it is then!
S - SS milk in my tea (HEA), remainder of laughing cows and fruit
Have a good one folks!

Hi Guys, hope you don't mind me joining in?
I'm starting at a SW class tomorrow night, never done it before as always did WW in the past, but that class is too far away now.
I'm going on holiday mid July and getting married in October, so I NEED to lose this weight, and hopefully keep it off and rethink my whole attitude to food!
I Shell welcome to the thread, ive seen you on the wedding thread a lot. You'll find a huge difference with Sw compared to WW you wont be starving all the time for one thing lol. Im also trying to lose weight for getting married hopefully this year. The date isnt set yet as we plan to do it at shortish notice and have to wait until things pick up job wise. goodluck:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Welcome to all the newbies and well done to all the losses (and gains!)

I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but just in case anyone was wondering what the SW KFC recipe is, i have posted below. It is from another forum and I'm trying tonight so shall let you know if it is any good.
Syn Free KFC
10 x Chicken Drummers or 4 Chicken Breasts
1 x Tub Chicken Bovril Paste
1 x Egg
1 x Clove of Garlic crushed (optional if you dont like garlic)
2 x Teaspoons of Ground Black Pepper (optional)
2 x Teaspoons of Mixed Spice (optional)
1 x Teaspoon of mild chilli powder (optional)
4 x Slices brown bread
2 x Teaspoons mixed herbes
Method
Place chicken drummers/chicken breasts in a deep pan fill with water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 30 mins. Drain and leave to cool. When cool remove the skin and pat dry. Cut chicken breasts into strips.
Place the bread and mixed herbes into a food processor and blend until crumbled and empty onto a large dish. Scoop out all the bovril paste into a small bowl. Mix in the egg, crushed garlic, pepper, spice and chilli until you have a gloopy paste.
Now for the fun bit, but before you start switch on the oven to its highest setting and have a baking tray sprayed with fry light on stand by. Using a spoon carefully dribble the paste all over a chicken drummer/strip then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture and place on the baking tray. Repeat until all the drummers/strips are covered.
Place the chicken in the oven and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until the breadcrumbs have started to go brown and crisp. Remove and leave to cool. Once cool transfer to a serving plate.

Highflyer - you might want to say that the reciepe is ONLY syn free if it's on a red day using both HEb's for your wholemeal (not brown) bread (2 slices from a 400g loaf for each HEb).
Otherwise you have to syn at least half the bread (or 3/4's if it's from a 800g loaf or is brown rather than wholemeal)0
