I meant to try the quiche with the cottage cheese this week as they were all talking about it at class, but I forgot. Can you taste the cottage cheese? I really dont like cottage cheese but if it just disappears I might give it a go.
Im going EE today and having

I went for a long country walk with the kids and oh yesterday, we were climbing hills and going on a bear hunt lol.

I don't think you can taste the cottage cheese, it's just there to give it some moisture (the savoury rice one needs it I find).

Did you catch any bears? :D
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I love cottage cheese, but don't feel it's that noticeable in the quiche nick...

My favorite quiche recipe is (green)

    Egg and Cottage cheese base...

    Then I add...

    diced red pepper,
1 small can of the mixed beans in vinaigrette (drained and rinsed)
sweetcorn, I think about half a small can.
    small onion
I put in some black pepper and dried herbs.
I let it cook for a few minutes then I put sliced tomato on the top and pop it back in the oven...just so it doesn't sink it too much, the sliced tomato always tastes amazing after it cooks, I'd recommend putting this on any of the quiches.

Anyway...today not such a great day, I really felt quite full by the end of yesterday, though I'd been sticking to it, and woke up and felt like I still had a full belly, and I think that made me feel like 'ugh I won't have lost any weight this week' so long story short for lunch today I ended up eating a big cheese savory sandwich (well filled) and quite a few home made chips, I can imagine they are cooked using a lot of fat because they tasted very good...oh and full fat mayonnaise. I had 4 squares of milka chocolate when I came in too. I've pushed this aside in my head and for tea I had homemade veg soup with a small spoon of cottage cheese in it. Still feel stuffed from lunch, and if I fancy eating tonight it will be fruit only as a bit of damage control. Hope it doesn't damage my weight loss, because I really want this christmas weight off, and I've still got 5.1/2lbs to go, so would have liked it off in the next couple of weeks, but how I'm feeling I just don't feel like it's coming off yet...who knows eh.

haha no bears, think they were all hibernating. The kids were loving it though. They have been couped up for weeks really so they ran wild.

I can't find nimble for love nor money for some reason! None in Tesco Extra on Sat, none in Tesco metro or Dunnes or Iceland today, just my luck when I want it it's nowhere to be found!

Breakfast: Cereal (5 syns & HEA)
Lunch: Tin of spaggetti hoops (free)
Snack: Cheese & onion walkers baked (5 syns)
Dinner: Singapore Noodles (dried noodles, chicken, reduced fat coconut milk, peppers, onions, chillis) (free, HEB, 5 syns, free, free, free)

Snacks to come: Mullerlight, mandarin, cup of tea & I'm missing a HEA & HEB so might resort to a little cheese melted on wholemeal toast.

  • Have you tried making a mousse with sugar-free jelly?

Make up the jelly with ½ pint water. Allow to cool but not set then add in a big tub of very low fat/fat free yoghurt. Whisk madly until the volume is around double then leave it to set.

This makes a huge bowlful which you can pick at all day for just 2 syns and takes the edge off a sweet tooth. You could always add some chopped fresh fruit too.
Thank you so much consultant31 for this recipe - i made this one earlier and split it into three pots - put strawberries and rasberries in two and put in fridge and the other one i put into freezer, got it out 15 mins before pudding and it was lovely, a cross between sorbet and an ice lolly, so i have three puddings for 2 syns, brill!!
