Hi Kelly :hello: I remember you from the thread before the last one, good to see you back.
Gpuk - yes all dried egg noodles are free on green and EE. Its the fresh noodles, like the straight to wok ones that are not free as they have oil in them.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hi everyone, I had decided to start tomorrow as that is the day I go shopping and stock up on all things SW, but I thought I would have today as a trial day and it's gone better than expected as I was so busy at lunch that I forgot it lol!
B - 28g Honey nut shredded wheat and milk (A) (5.5)
L - Nothing but snacked on some grapes at my desk
D- Tuna Pasta salad (with peppers, sweetcorn, red onion) dressing made with 4 tbsp of extra light asda mayo and 8 tbsp of v low fat fromage frais. (split between me and hubby and he ate more than me but counted as 2 syns for my half of the mayo)??
S - chocolate and fudge alpen light bar and 2 cups of tea (half a b and 2 syns for sugar).
So in total I think 9.5 syns for the day - doesn't look like much food now i've written it down and I wouldn't normally miss lunch but I was so busy and couldn't get a break. I am going to make a big batch of leek and potato soup tomorrow and also going to try a sw curry and lots of stir frys and things - 1 question on the EE are dried egg noodles free?? hope so yummy!!!
Honeynut shredded wheat is a HE now!:j And yes the dried egg noodles are free!

Went to class tonight and have lost 3lbs. 8lbs in total now. Really pleased that it's coming off, but I think it's going to be a long process.
The class is a bit of a nightmare and not very organised at the moment.
I'm hoping I get a sticker for my 1/2 stone award next week as it wasn't mentioned tonight. Don't think I'm being picky but it's a nice incentive seeing the stickers build up on the back of your book. I've got it online though on the SW site.
Lola
Well done on your 1/2 stone Lola :T:T Next time you are in class make sure you prompt the weigh in person or whoever it is that gives out the stickers. I am proud of my stickers and as you say it is an incentive seeing them on your book!

Good morning all! does this mean, in my recipe books - on original or green, the it will be free?
if so how? why did they have green days and original days, if you can eat whatever now on the EE plan?
this is my first ever try at slimming world - whenever i have slimmed or tried to before i have always counted calories, but as with a lot of people out there, i have let things slide, etc and now have 80lbs to lose! this year i am wanting to do it for me, not for my husband or children, but for ME! - SORRY TO RANT.slimming world start: 17.1.10 @ 200 lb's
lost up to now - 7 lb's
first target: 180 (this is waht i stuck to most of my life!)
second target: 160 ( I haven't been this for over 10 years)
third target: 138(my personal target)
final target: 120 (this is what i was when i got married)0 -
Just a quick question:
Does anyone have PCOS or metabolic syndrome on here?I have both and try to not have too many carbs but unfortunately part of the disease is to crave them.....
I'd be interested to know if anyone suffering from these ailments finds they just don't lose on green,no matter how much they stick to the plan?
I do EE cos I hate all the weighing and I'm not always very organised so sometimes have too many healthy extras if I do red/green.I also prefer EE as I can have carbs but it encourages me to have less of them.:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil, like women....;):D:p

Go ahead and rant karen - thats why were here!:rotfl:;)!
You are right about the red and green day thing - if it was free on red or free on green then it is free on EE. I think perhaps one of the reasons it works is that you are only having 2 HE instead of 4 (a potential saving of up to 12 syns) and by having 1/3 of your plate filled with superfree foods you will be so full you won't be tempted by other foods. This doesn't always work with me:o:o! I do know loads of people in class who are on EE and are having good losses
Good luck

Anything that is a free food on red/green is free on EE if eaten as part of one of your 3 meals a day.Remember that each meal should preferably be a third superfree foods (ie,free on both plans).
Red was the only plan originally (which is why it's often called original rather than red) thenthey brought in green.EE was only added last year. You only get 1 heb and hea on EE too which is why some people struggle with it.
And the only reason to lose weight,or embark on any life changing plan,is for yourself.Doomed otherwise IMO!:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil, like women....;):D:p
