LOl@kelly!! Tut tut catt, you know those slimfast products are awful (yes I have tried them, haven't we all!!)!! So how have you been using your scan brans cos I tried them a couple of months ago and spat it straight out and the lot went in the bin.... I's love to give them another go if I can be convinced of a tasty way to eat them!!

catsy - it actually didn't take me long to get used to them - I just stuck with it! I eat 5 spread through the day with one dairylea on each (or smkd salmon/quark pate) and I don't mind them now! You do need a drink with them (helps anyway) but do stick with it!
One of the members tis morning said she crumbles one or two into a saucepan of baked beans - they melt in so you don't know you're eating the added fibre!
    Start with 1 or 2 a day - only 1 syn each.

Well done SC still going in the right direction.

I quite like scan brans, I tried them for the first time this week with salmon pate and really enjoyed them. Not sure if theyve helped much yet will see on Wed.
I was a bit naughty today and had 3 slices of Mr kipling style bakewell slices. My fault for going to Asda on an empty stomach. Not even going to check the syns, just going to keep eating well and do a bit of exercise later.

Hey Catt well done on the 1.5 lbs!!! (I'm not even going to comment on the slimfast!:rotfl:)

I lost 1lb this week:j:j:jam v happy as I went away for the weekend - someone else was in charge of the food, and I had literally no say in what I ate.

Will now go back and read the rest of the new thread - haven't been able to keep up since I got back on Sunday!

    Re: Scan Bran

When things get a little *ahem* stuck I make myself a scan bran breakfast which is very similar to my breakfast rice - only quicker!

Put 5 scan brans in a bowl and cover with boiling water from the kettle. Leave for a minute then drain well. Quickly mix in some chopped fruit or some berries and a syn free yogurt to complement the fruit.

Voila - one bowl of hot and tasty cereal which is either a HEB or only 2.5 syns!

    Love

Definately worse than ryvita's - but then i can't stand them either! They 'get thinsg moving' if you know what I mean and are 100% fibre. Good for all round health & weight loss :D

ah,i understand catt! hasnt really enticed me to wanting to try them though. lol.
you say u eat with salmon pate? im not a lover of salmon or pate! Any other alternatives to making them taste edible? i seen marions idea of soaking them then having with yoghurt n fruit as a cereal, but i dont think i could muster that either......:S

im getting anxious about tomorrow night, have been doing well eating, im just worried that the effects of the weekend will take its toll!! :(
