Ah yes, doctors scribbles, I've had many hours trying to decipher them. When my psychiatrist referred me to my support worker we spent most of the first session trying to make sense of what she'd written!
Have I ever mentioned how much I love this site? I've run out of coffee (well, I've got decaff left but that doesn't count) so had a look on Whittard of Chelsea's site, they have some good deals in the sale but I couldn't stomach £4.50 delivery. A quick look on here and voila, free delivery and 20% off. Just hope it gets here soon.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Yeah its going OK, I'm just remembering that I do know how to knit, and I'm quite proud of myself. Have started on the back, so hopefully it'll go ok. And a foreign language would also be more useful than RE, considering the multicultural society that is becoming the norm nowadays.

Was determined not to have the heating on all day so have ended up wrapped in a blanket and falling asleep. Bit counter productive and depressing.
I had DD1 and family around, otherwise I don't normally cook a sunday dinner.....OH doesn't like em.

Sammy, what Becky's not saying is that it's bloody freezing and she was dropped off 20 miles from home with no other way of getting back.... anyone would manage a high speed! (Only joking Becky, I'm totally in awe of you!).
My sister's actually looking forward to going back onto jobseekers, when she's 25 in a few weeks she'll be better off than she has been working in this job, and she'll have a cooker and not just a microwave so she'll save money on food. I think it says more about the crapness of the job than it does the generosity of JSA though! For a family or someone with their own home I honestly don't see how they can expect people to live. I know it has to be set at a low enough level to encourage people to get jobs, but I doubt any MP's could live on it. I read an article a couple of months back about how a journalist decided to live on JSA amounts for a week, she thought she'd just have to get cheaper versions of everything and was shocked how much she spent when she thought she'd cut it to the bone.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Sally, I was doing my shopping today and it came to £70.....that was meal planned, with no cleaning stuff or any extras....(no bread cos I don't really eat it) I also got a ready cooked chicken for today and ready prepared potatoes and veg...(time is precious on Sunday - don't shoot me), apart from that I had no processed food. I can't imagine trying to feed yourselves - and Bookie - for that matter on what they give you for JSA.
I think many people find it cheaper to go to Iceland and buy a ready prepared carp meal for £1 than cook from scratch.....no wonder obesity levels are as they are...
Totally agree Sammy...its crazy but I guess it just means you have to cut down on the amount you eat too. We have eaten a LOT of potatoes because I often find a bag reduced and you can do so many meals out of a 2.5kg bag :rotfl:. What I have found hard is trying to find cheap things to put in B's lunchbox as obviously I don't want her to eat carp but healthy things are expensive :mad:I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

sal, I always try and look for the offers on stuff - like reduced fruit bags, jelly pots etc so I always have something different. Or I just get the little pots, get some economy fruit and jelly and make my own.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
