donny-gal my blackberry hates this site too
jc2703 that is lovely!! I wish I had a kitchen big enough to include a table.
redruby pleased you managed to get there & you like it even if it's a bit dirty....did you not see inside before? Someone elses muck is always so much worse.
csarina I remember you mentioning how small the apartment kitchen was, but the new LL does sound good
Pen-Pin ((hugs)) never the easiest of things. Good luck to your DD with the interview. Definately giggled at the glitter story!
crafty did you manage to get the roofer to pop back out while it was leaking?
carolino ((hugs)) think anyone would be mad
Dusty you had my favourite tea :D I might make some on Monday if I have time

Really odd today, it's not icy/snowing but I just can't get warm. Really tired, even had an afternoon nap which has not cured it. Managed all HM meals so keeping to one of my aims better, I've done tomorrows potatoes as I got carried away peeling. TD not been used for 2 days which is good...starting to worry about damp however. I'd promised myself bed by 10.30pm but DSs playing up so might be a challenge!
One day I might be more organised...........

    !

Yes I did see inside (twice) , saw it was a bit grubby, but assumed that it would be cleaned before they left , tbh it would not have put me off anyway, it is perfect for us, and will be lovely once its done. I must admit I am a bit ocd with cleaning, and will be much happier once its clean, then we can make our own muck :rotfl:xx

Didn't even try to contact him - no-one could have got up on the roof in that wind. Anyway all I can really do is show him where it is showing inside the house. I will need to get him to check the whole roof later on anyway - I have two flat dormer bits (must check how long ago those were re-done)
  • Thanks for all the lovely messages and PM's!

FIL had a morphine pump fitted this evening and Mcmillan have said 1-2 days. OH has been there off and on all day as has most of the family. Its just so emotional. I have known him since I was 13 when I met OH, so he's always been there for me, more so than my own dad.

On a MS note, OH went to Aldi to get a few bits we needed and they have started selling FR chickens at very reasonable rates. It was a 1.65KG and normal priced at £4.51. I am also very fussy with Tuna and only like Yellowfin in springwater which they have started doing at 99p for a large tin, so he got us 3 tins to try as that will do 3 meals. Gammon joint at £2.99, Beef and Chilli topped posh pizza, BBQ Spare Ribs (delish), salad bag, cucumber, beetroot x 2, parsnips, carrots, onions, , decent ham, pitta bread, milk, salt, cottage cheese pots x 2, mango, bananas, puddings, biscuits, FR eggs, chilled spud selection in a cream and cheese sauce...delish. Total came to £24.00 We can do 8-9 meals from that and a few lunches etc, so not bad at all. He also go smoked salmon reduced to 29p which has been frozen, 2 x FR chicken breasts for 59p, Fish in parsley sauce £1.99 (half price), also 2 fresh polloch in crumbs to 39p which will be put in freezer..so thats another 4+ meals.

Sorry, I am rambling but trying to keep brain busy.

Anyway, sleep tight and hope you are all well.

    PP
    xx
