    Afternoon one and all

I love weekends, the days just go so fast though.

Enjoyed a lie in with the paper this morning. I've been to the scrap store, lidl, filled up with petrol. I need to go to town to but putting that off until tomorrow when I need to take DS to refereeing.

Still trying to decide on bits for the shower room but we are getting there, I just want it chosen and off my mind now.

    Dizzy
    - hugs

    PennyPinchers
    - very funny with your DH and the glitter - well done to your DD

Redruby - I hope you will be very happy in your new home. I left mine spotless too when I moved and the same could not be said for this house. Not filthy but all cupboards needed wiping out, shower cleaning etc.

I've lit the fire it is so cold, needing to dry some of the logs out on the hearth after so much snow but that is fine.

Lunch was HM veg soup, off to make lasagne and apple crumble next.

DH has taken DS3 swimming and is collecting DS2 and his friend from the cinema on the way home, DS1 has been horizontal for most of the day. He got a bad knock in school PE and has 2 very nasty cuts on his knee and is making the most of it:rolleyes:

I've still got p2 to read so will catch up with the rest of everybody's news then.

    Afternoon everyone.

Busy day. Went to Mr S - remind me NEVER to go on a Saturday again. Even with the fastrack service it was heaving and so many rude people barging past  or just stopping dead in their tracks in the middle of the aisle  Anyway took advantage of the 1/3 off baby stuff and have stocked up on nappies and wipes. Spent £65 all in so not too bad considering the baby stuff must have cost at least half that! Bought some sausagemeat to have a go making some HM sausage rolls. My mum did some at Christmas and they were lovely so want to have a go - never made flakey pastry from scratch before.
Kids been round to see Granny and Grandad and H took his scooter for a spin now that all the snow has gone. Slightly sad to see the back of it (as it looked so pretty) but I am looking forward to things getting back to normal.

Caroline - sorry your weekend away has been ruined. £100  Talk about money for old rope......

Penny - sorry to hear about your FIL but well done to your DD on her interview - 2000 heck that's a LOT of people :T

Pipkin - hope you're feeling better soon xx

Redruby - Glad the move went reasonably well. As for the state of the house eek  My own "dirt" I can cope with it's other peoples that makes me want to vomit. I think that is the real downside to moving house for me. I won't walk round barefooted for a few weeks until I know it's my own dirt hanging around :rotfl::o When we moved from our last house we scrubbed it and even left a bottle of wine for the new owner to enjoy.

Celyn - sorry to hear about your BIL. Hope your sister and nephew are holding up OK xx

jc - your new kitchen is fab <insert very jealous icon> I wish my kitchen was that big :D

Dizzy - hope your ear ache passes soon xx

Right sorry if I have forgotten anyone. Have a nice Saturday night. Think we are having a baked spud and tuna for tea.

Celyn - sorry to hear about your BIL. Hope your sister and nephew are holding up OK xx

Thanks :) He was held on remand this morning and told to expect 5 - 9 years (which is actually less than I thought he'd get). I don't think she will be going back to him :( *sigh* It's such a mess.

My dad's van hasn't actually been moved - they went to empty it and was told it hadn't arrived. He's stressed now too :( And there is nothing I can do. :(

One day at a time I guess x

I really could not tell a woman of your advancing years :D, but its a low window which is right next to the loo, and it did smell terrible _pale_, but its gone now :T OH removed it, I washed all the bathroom out with bleach, and OH put a new blind up :T, smells sooooo much better.

I have been laughing at all the stories re dirty house moves, glad its not just me :o, also Bitsy, I know what you mean about the bare feet, I would really like to get the carpets cleaned first.

Celyn, your poor sis, how dreadful xx

carolinosourus so sorry about your trip xx

Got some of our curtain rods, and curtains up today, feels better with my own stuff up.

I also picked up a carrier bag full of dog mess from the garden, its not from my dog, far too big :o, and about 200 fag butts, OH thinks we could fill a skip with the c**p that has been left in the garden

Going to have a large glass of wine tonight, think i deserve it :D

Sorry to hear of your troubles Dizzybuff. Take care. x
And very sorry to hear what has happened to your sister Celyn. What a shock for you all.xxx
    Enjoy the wine Pooby. :D

I've forgotten what else I was going to say. :o I'll blame it on the sore head I've had all day.
Very little in the way of OS today. I put some washing in, hung some washing out, gathered eggs in from the hen house (I love saying that :j), had HM curried parsnip soup for lunch, went for a walk with a friend, had coffee at her house, came home, reheated the sausage pepperpot I made the other night and we had it with jacket spuds.:D
Now I'm in bed trying to make my sore head disappear.

    Bye for now.

Ceyln - I know I'm new to this thread but wanted to send my best wishes to your Dad and sister as such stressful times

Caroline - budget airlines are a nightmare!

Dizzy - sympathise with your earache, I've got raging earache at the moment, treating it with wine at the moment, by mouth not as ear drops

Lasagna was delicious if I do say so myself, never used to like it but I'm getting the hang of it now. Crumble nearly finished.

Needed to do some financial bits this evening including moving cash to pay the tax bill for DH

I have been to my friends to help her celebrate her birthday with tea and cream cake, yummy.......it has stopped raining but the fields are flooded with a the melting snow and rain, thankfully it had not reached the road. The cranberry glass candle golder I bought her went down very well. I shall miss her when we move, I have been going to see her once a fortnight for eons.......

I got some cooked gammon out of the freezer this morng so we have just had a couple of glasses of pinot grizio and gammon and salad......

OH has cleared out a load of paper and shredded it. I need to start in the sewing room and pack stuff away for removal, I need to order some packing boxes and a couple of wardrobe boxes, they come next day delivery. he can pack away to his hearts content then.

I am shattered after my bad night, think I might turn in early. I am using up some odd bits of wool by crocheting a blanket, will go on till its either big enough or I have run out of wool!!!

    Good evening :D

I am sat in the kitchen...and have been since returning from shopping earlier today. I may sleep in here :D:D

The big slow cooker has been on - I put a big piece of gammon in with leek, potato & celery and a little veg stock to start it off. Fished out the gammon when cooked and blitzed the rest - Leek & Potato Soup for dinner was lovely and the first time a pan of soup has been cleared so quickly!

I got my bread maker out :j well when I say I - I mean DH :D it was in the cupboard at the side of the fridge freezer so it was a bit of a krypton factor task watching him get it out! So I have dough made for HM pizza later and I have a loaf in now :D o0o0o0o Gammon n Pineapple pizza sounds like a possibility!

I have wine :D or should that be past tense....as it seems to have all gone...think I have alcoholic fairies

    enjoy you're evening
