A very late hello from me today!

Dizzy I'm in Bury :T which stall on the market did you get your gammon from please? I got some great gammon before Christmas from Redmans I think.

Celyn Hugs to your Dad & sister xx

Penny Pincher Big hugs to you for being so positive & hugs for your FIL & the family too. We lost MIL last Sunday so know how you feel xx

Diva Thank you for the beautiful sympathy card that you made & sent to us :A

Hugs & special thoughts to anyone else who needs them too.

We have had a lovely day here today. Nobody opened their eyes until 9.30am which is almost unheard of here. I just pottered round doing the minestrone for tea, washing, drying etc and DH removed the trampoline, which had broken under the weight of the snow, from the garden. It looks huge without it I think I shall take some persuading to buy another one next year ;) :rotfl:

My Mum came down this afternoon & we had a lovely time chatting while I finished the hat I cast on for her last night. Dad liked his hat so much that he put it on to drive home in as soon as I gave it to him, and reappeared in it to collect Mum later :D

The elder 3 children are out tonight in various places so it's only DH, myself & DS3 in. We shall have baths soon & curl up with a book I think. I'm reading him the last Harry Potter book every night. I did it for the older ones when they were younger & we all enjoyed it. It's nice to have some special time together each evening.

See everyone in the morning when I hope to be up & about at the usual time!

    Evening everyone

Had quite a busy day, but not that os. After trying on lots of dresses for my wedding this year and have found 1 that is alot less than my budget which is simple but elegant so have been to be measured for it today, took my mum with me whilst my dad watched my son. They will now order it in the correct size but it will need to be altered to fit and was gobsmacked when they told me the price for alterations:eek:.

Myy ds2 is not sleeping well think he is worrying about Monday. I am hoping that he may get to sleep before midnight tonight.

Penny - sorry to hear about your FIL. Congratulations to your DD on her interview.

Pipkin - hope you're feeling better soon xx

Redruby - sounds like you are making great progress with your house, enjoy the wine.

Ceyln - Thinking of you and your family, this must be so stressful for you all.

Caroline - Sorry to hear about your trip.

Dizzy - Hope the earache inproves for you.

PennyPinchers - your story about the glitter made me laugh so much.

JC - your kitchen looks fantastic.

Hugs to anyone that needs or wants one. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

    Take Care

Oooo! What's this then?? Got one a couple of months ago about insurance, not nearly so intriguing :D

    Csarina- Hey, I know you! I think . . . :rotfl: :hello:

    Evening all

Didn't make it in yesterday, one of those 'one thing after another' days I'm sure we all have more regularly than we'd like! Went out to the big city for a few things I needed, and stuck to my list!! I needed new slippers, and every place I looked had a very small selection, none to my liking of course and tons of sandals and flip-flops! Bad enough they're already pushing Easter - won't get a week past that and it'll be Halloween stuff out . . . . almost time for Christmas!

Got what I needed at Boots, Wilkinsons and Smiths, while BH did the banking and had a bit of a wander. Decided to go out again today and head for Matalan to see if I could find some slippers, which I did and a few hand towels then on to Staples for a shredder as ours was beginning to make horrid sounds with just a couple of pieces of paper going through - then back home. Have shredded everything that was waiting and given the wardrobe in our bedroom a bit of a go over.

Decided on a 'picky' day foodwise and have had prawn salad, rolls with a cooked hock (same price as non) from the butchers, cold chicken, garden salad bits and cheeses. All being things either needing to be used up out of the fridge or from the freezer. It's been raining on and off all day so poor BH still hasn't been out in 'his' new field, maybe tomorrow.

Off to get a coffee and a few biccies (this biccy business HAS to stop, lol) zip round t'internet and chill in front of the TV.

Hope everyone has a good evening!

    Evening all,

Ruby...sorry to hear about your dirty house, you'll get there.

Have been trying to 'curl' DD4's hair as she is off to a friend's birthday party, had managed to do one side of it nicely but the other side was not co-operating...her hair is very straight, she has one of those ceramic thingies which I thought was just meant to straighten hair...couldn't get anywhere with it ( I am meant to be omnipotent!). Eventually it was acceptably curly so she is gone and is staying with the friend to-night. DGS2 is with us, one of his great grandmothers died this morning so he is not with his dad as meant to be.

Dinner to-day was an M&S chicken, with small roasties, panna cotta and a bottle of wine....meant to be €12.50 but was €11.79 due to reduction in the tax on wine here. Lots of chicken left over and we didn't touch the bottle of wine yet.

Carolinosaurus...sorry that you missed your trip to Dublin....Ryanair is our favourite airline in this house as we avail of many cheap holidays thanks to their low fares....would agree though that once you step 'out of the box' their charges are horrendous....spent €100 changing my name on a flight a couple of years ago as I had spelt it wrongly, only for OH to have a stroke 2 days before we were due to go....that was a GGGGRRRRRRRR moment all right. Let me know next time you come and we might manage a meet.

Had to go to town this pm to put some money in Credit Union and visit M&S but only spent money on parking apart from that....time was when everything in purse would be in danger...maybe I'm getting better!

PenPin....sorry to hear that you are still weak, a little sun would do you no harm, even if only seen through the window!

Celyn...sorry for your sister and nephew...and your dad for his problems with van...when my car was stolen last year the police found it the same day but I had to wait 2 weeks for forensic people to look at it.....why?

DGS2 has decided that the panna cotta we shared is 'pretty nice' so will now take as long as he can to finish it....bedtime is meant to be 9 on Saturday, but he will, no doubt, try to persuade Maimeo to stretch that a bit....probably succeed too!

Hugs to all, enjoy the rest of your weekend

    Marie

Hester...not fair, you seem to be the only lucky one!
