Morning all......(((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) to those who need them.

OH off cutting grass, wants to get it done before it gets too hot.......I have a laod of ashing to put out, will have a coffee and then its cleaning day, want to try and get everything but the kitchen done today and then spend the rest of the day sewing.......started a quilted cushion cover yesterday after I finish off the bag.

Next months shop is going to be a heavy one, everything seems to be running out at the same time except the tomato's...... we went to Tesco several times and they had no tomato's so when I went and they had them I bought 20 tins, 6 for a friend the rest for me!!!!!!!! They have had no value mature cheese for weeks either, so guess what will happen next time I go (not buying 20 packets thoughLOL) I will put a couple of pack in the freezer against not being able to get it another time.

Right thats me for this morning off for my coffee...... have a good day folks.... and don't get too hot and bothered, remember there is always tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Everyone

Back from my few days off work. Didn't have a great week, on the Saturday Nan was taken into hospital with chest pains and kept in for two nights. She's a bit better, but still not herself. Just have to wait and see now I guess

So couldn't really get up to much. Got some christmas shopping done. Made use of the sales and got three lovely pressies for £12.

Had a "treat" day where I didn't care about money, and took mum shopping at a farm - spent £50:eek: and we went to the cinema, another £20!!!

But it was just a one off and we needed cheering up.

Been working all weekend at the 999 display in Eastbourne. I was doing live updates, surrounded by men in uniform;) :D I sometimes have a really tough job!!!!

Anyhoo, hope everyone's ok, I've missed you all

Morning all ... Can't stay long as I have to behave myself and get plenty done ... I need to leave work a bit early as I am singing at a mass at my church (it's a confirmation service for some of the kids from the church school, and this was the only slot the Bishop of London could fit in between now and the end of term) ... Anyway, have just flicked through the weekend's threads ... ((((Smashing Blouse)))) ... I did manage to find the flats I'm seeing on Thurs ... Great location, I'd say about 45-50 mins walk from my office :j in a very old-style and multicultural bit of South London ... Close enough to Peckham with all its independent grocers, greengrocers, butchers and fishmongers - and Lidl and loads of bus routes :D;) Far enough AWAY from Peckham to be a bit removed from the noise, smells and dangers of a heaving multicultural high street in quite a rough area ... Main advantages are the presence of a major arterial bus route into London (including night bus) directly outside the front door (so it's safe getting home at night, which was my main worry about that area), and the fact that it's 5 minutes' walk from the park ... Main disadvantage really is that the flats are on a semi-busy road ... It will be interesting when I go to the viewing on Thurs, to see the neighbourhood at a different time of the day and week ... By the way, I'd appreciate PMs from anybody who's gone into shared ownership in Central or South London in the last year or two, who can recommend a financial advisor and/or a solicitor who specialises in this type of property ... I might ask on the housebuying board (have already received some good advice from Ivyleaf and Lynzpower) ... Right, got to go ... See you later ... Rzl xx

Well my house doesn't need blessing it needs reconsecrating!!! Suppose I should get going but I have to keep checking to see if Chivers (the stranded cat) has come down yet!!

Hi, jockett! I know just how you feel. My DS finishes priamry school on Friday, and I feel very emotional. Not so bad with DD, but DS is my baby boy, and I'm not ready for him to be a big boy! Leavers' assembly on Friday, and I've warned the new head that when our DDs left 2 years ago, the old head passed a box of tissues over the heads of the children to a friend and I! She has been warned that we'll be blubbing all the more this time.

DS hasn't liked his teacher, either, this year, so is keen to go. He loves his new form tutor at high school.

Rzl, I used to live in Nunhead! Long time ago, though, but we frequented the market in Peckham.

Need to go, strawberry jam about to boil.

    Penny. x

Im off to hang my second load on the line, third load in the WM, and then finish wiping down the bathroom. Then after lunch, its Sports Day!!!!!

    Take care everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The flat I'm looking at is in Camberwell, near Southwark College. I've always liked the idea of living round there, as long as I wasn't on one of the noisier streets.
