Hear, hear Snowy! Although I missed the announcement "live" 'cos I got stuck into reading a thread about wearing clothes too small for you!:rotfl:

I never normally look at DT, but that was quite interesting.:D

The flat I'm looking at is in Camberwell, near Southwark College. I've always liked the idea of living round there, as long as I wasn't on one of the noisier streets.

Ooh, Rzl, just as I've got over Chivers coming down from his tree, you mention Camberwell, and I'm all jittery again. That was where DH and I did out courting! He lived on the top floor of a house in Camberwell Grove, where he looked into the garden of Duncan Goodhew, and the building moved during the famous "hurricane that wasn't". Is the Phoenix and Firkin still next to the railway station? Great pint in there in the 80s, but we haven't had cause to go back recently.

    Go for it!

    Morning all :hello: again :D

Back to read the thread through properly while I have a cup of tea so I can now do some replies ;) :

rchddap1 - I had something similar when I was pregnant with DD, only mine was being ill whenever I smelt meat cooking so much so we were nearly vegetarian for the 9 months :o I'm sorry to say this but it didn't get any better although after a while I was able to cope with chicken cooking, as long as it was baked in the oven. Last time I felt sick was about 4pm on the day I went into labour - I still remember that day as I'd been shopping with OH to Aldi to make sure I had stuff in as DD was overdue by 2 days, then I decided to clean the bathroom. As I bent over the bath this huge wave of nausea came over me. 12 hours later I was in the hospital on my back in labour

Soba - Enjoy the museum and being kids free for a bit ;)

PP - Hope the hospital visits go okay and you feel better later :grouphug:

catowen - Have fun at the sports day. :D

Ajax18 - Welcome to OS :hello:

Scuzz - Hope your nan feels better soon. Sounds like you've had a really tough job over the weekend :rotfl:

Bargain Rzl - I hope the flat is nice and it works out for you :)

Done so far today : WM x2nd load in, bathroom swiped, bedrooms tidy, livingroom sort of tidy (just need to do the desk area now :o ), school run.

    Still to do:
    • Livingroom floor (realised it was pointless yesterday with everyone in ;) )
    • Kitchen floor (as above, except now I've got to clean up ice-cream that OH dropped on it last night but didn't clean up  Now it's a hands & knees job)
    • Dirty cloth wash - once I've cleaned the floors
    • Tiny bit of ironing
    • Dishes
    • Ebay items to photograph & upload (craft books that just are not me & DD's outgrown stuff ;) )
    • Make 2 more photoframes for DD to paint (out of cardboard) and cover the backing of them with paper so they will just need sticking basically ;) - will need to put each frame in pieces in a seperate bag so I don't get them mixed up as they're all slightly different shapes being handmade
    • Set up craft stuff for DD to do when she comes in (after getting out of her uniform ;) ) as we have parents evening at 5pm
    • Make pasta sauce up for tea tonight - tuna & tomato, not much to it but if I make it up early it tastes so much better
Just got the shock of my life, this fella has just appeared over nextdoors back wall and I could then hear him at their back door, only when I went out to put the washing out did I realise that it was the landlord  Went out to check who it was and to get a good look incase it was someone breaking in, using the washing as an excuse ;)

Right, finished my tea so I had better get on with the tidying up of this desk area - how can it get so messy so fast

    Later
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

How much do I care about w*** today - not a lot!! I have done hardly anything since I got in. I didn't get very much sleep, then I was up at sevenish to cook my head (ie do my roots). Rather than w*r*ing I have been monitoring Chivers' progress, now that he's down that rather compromises my entertainment schedule for the rest of the day. Ah well...BargainRzl - being on a busyish road won't be too bad if your lounge but more importantly your bedroom is at the rear of the property - I lived on a v.busy road once and the bedroom was at the front...I never did get used to the noise. The kitchen was at the back and it was blissfully quiet. Also if you can get a flat up a couple of floors that should help too. Keep an open mind (I know you will anyway!), ask lots and lots of questions, if you're not sure about it find out if they have any other developments or any resales coming up. Scuzz - that 999 show sounds like it was quite a challenge with all those hunky men in uniform, well done for getting through it!Oo look it's teatime!SnowyOwl

    Hi to everyone!

Discovered late last night my chest freezer had defrosted at some stage over the past month. Everything ruined. Not a good start to the week.

Morning to all who've posted and those about to!

Was wide awake at 6am, seems to happen daily at the moment, I wouldn't mind but I wasn't asleep until after 12. Anyway did sit ups, shower, make up etc very early.

Busy morning this morning, DS on night duty so I did school run (kids slept until 8 poor loves), went to bank afterwards and withdrew money to pay into DH account so he can book flights for hols. Finally finished at banks, got home and rang to check on DS passport and so far have no eta for it!!

Am in a complete panic, don't feel I can book flights until we have it or know it is en-route but want to book my hols and not pay over the odds!!

Please keep everything crossed it turns up by Weds, or our holiday plans may have to change!!

And poor DH was up all night fighting grass fires and has to look after DD this morning, he can hardly walk he's so tired.

    Loving this weather though..
