Easy day today. I am relaxing and OH is off at his car boot sale for most of the day (with luck). Lunch and tea will probably be a bit of nibbling and a salad. Breakfast....freshly cooked croissants. Bought some pre-made ones a couple of weeks ago from a farm shop and now they're cooked they look delicious.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.

Morning all........(((((HUGS))))) to anyone who needs them.
PP....sorry to hear you are not well, hope you improve as the day goes on.
Shez, hope you like the carrot cake, my grandchildren love it, I have to make it when they come for lunch and if there is any left they take it home, have to hide it from Daddy though otherwise they would not get a look in!!!!!
Decent nights sleep in spite of it being so warm...... last night I put the fan on in the bedroom for an hour before we went to bed, just switched it off when we settled down to sleep, so it was nice and cool...... curtains at the front drawn to keep out the sun, its supposed to be hotter than ever today so we will be sitting in the garden this morning reading and the sitting room after lunch.
The salmon last night was delicious, I made hollandaise sauce, the fillets were big, so to took a bit off each one so we can finish it up with some salad for lunch today.
Going to roast a chicken but think I'll do it in the convection micro rather than heat the house up with the gas stove on.........I hate cooking when it hot.... but needs must we can have it cold for supper tomorrow and Tuesday/wednesday..........
Off to get another caffine fix...... have a great day

Well, bad night here for me, thunder and lightning at 5 this morning, keeping me awake and ruining our plans for today!!!! Had planned to take a picnic and the kids bikes up on the moors, as they love it there, but not sure if we will be able to do that now, it has brightened up, but dont fancy getting up there and then getting caught in more rain!!!! Havnt taken any meat out of the freezer for lunch, so will have a carpet picnic if we do stay home, although, i really do want to go out somewhere, so will have a think about where we can go!!!!
Well, off to get dressed and decide what we are going to do, hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all, not a very busy day today, the uniforms didn't get worn last week so I don't have to worry about those today, just going to tootle round and tidy up a bit and then head off to the band barbecue this afternoon.
Hugs to all, woke up with a very thick head this morning and I only had two glasses of wine last night. I must be turning into a real lightweight, either that or it's because I couldn't get to sleep until 3. I was just nodding off when DD woke up screaming with a nightmare.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning all :hello:
Sorry I haven't been around for a week, but it has all kicked off at work. First week back after six weeks sick leave and I wish I had stayed at home! Restructuring is taking place and I've applied for two jobs, my 'current' one which has been redesigned so it is twice the workload and the job above mine. I, a colleague, and a person at that level already, have an interview for that one on Monday, but unfortunately the person currently at that level has taken it personally and her partner has sent me a threatening text messageShe's also told people in the office what her partner wants to do to me and it is so horrible that no-one will tell me  It's not a nice feeling, coming home and double checking who is parked outside, just incase. It has all got a bit nasty....not looking forward to tomorrow.
Been quite a week, bumped into my ex at work, blubbed (not in front of him!) so took control the next day and went for coffee and didn't blub
House news...long story which involves the vendor pulling out three times.....call on Thursday, she now wants me to buy it again. Dilema...it is opposite ex OH and a lot of money, but so far have spent £4K trying to buy a bloomin' house so part of me just thinks buy it and see what happens!! Looking at it again with some v. good friends who will tell me honestly if they think it is pants.
Sorry, but I haven't had time to read through all of last week's threads, so I hope everyone is well. I've missed my OS time on the boards
Shez - good luck with the job tomorrow, fingers crossed for you.
Catowen - I also had thunder and lightening, but I hope it brightens up today for my trip to the house. I've promised my friends ice-creamI think a carpet picnic is a great idea!
tootles - mmm, salmon. Is hollandaise sauce easy to make? I've have to look for a recipe.
funkyfairy - enjoy the paddling pool
scuzz - I hope work is wizzing by for you
TM - enjoy your bike ride
sallypurple - good luck with the race for life
Kaz - hiya chuck
ally - I felt the same yesterday, but perhaps that was the amount of drinkies I had on Friday night
PP - hope you feel better as the day goes on. You are such a good student, I think about studying but somehow never quite get around to it...
And have a good day to anyone I missed.
