I hope you don't mind me posting though I haven't read through the thread properly, no doubt I'll catch up later.
Day has gone nothing as planned. My mother called a day or two ago to tell me she would be visiting my nan so would the boys like to meet up. No doubts there naturally as we've very little family and they hardly ever see her (She lives in Cornwall, we live in Wales).
To cut a long story short we were supposed to go to the beach/fair but she's cancelled on us (she is at my nans with her B/f grand daughter but they've opted to go shopping instead) with only the offer of a quick lunch tomorrow which she knew we couldn't do because DS2 is booked to record his first CD with the band.
DS3 was up and dressed by 7am because he was so excited, DS2 came home last night instead of the previously planned sleep over, and DS3 came home from his camping trip by 8am so he'd be home in plenty of time.
I am so upset. She's done this to me many times over the years - she's allways 'adopting' her most recent 'partners' family, but this time she's gone too far - she's really hurt my boys, and, grrrr ........ I daren't say how I feel about her.
She's such a 'nice' person to everyone else - bends over backwards and really puts herself out for everyone, except her family(my nan is usually included in this). When things go pear shaped tho' we are the center of her universe. It really really hurts and I **** her for doing it to my children. They've had enough rejection in their lives - they need to be made to feel 'special', and 'wanted'.
I have pulled myself together a bit and made a start on getting the garden ready for the boys trampoline by pouring weedkiller over the lawn, and I have dough on the go in the B/M for some pizza. Just popped on here to see how larmy was going with the kefir, saw this thread and started blubbing again...
Soz, here I go again.
Catch up later,

Kaz where are you in Wales? Do you fancy bring the boys over in the hols? Unfortunately when it's family you can't lose them but I've had loads of so-called friends make plans and then break them in the past, it's something that really bugs me so if someone does this I never bother asking them again.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

just a big hug from me to you kaz and to your family, my dds mother in law is like that with the boys they say they will be up to take them out then never appears, the boys are eight and seven0

Kaz, big hugs. My mother is much the same - you're not alone, but that may not be much comfort at the moment. She tells me that my children are so important to her, but makes no effort towards them. She lives 5 min walk from a train station with 30 min connection to London. She then discourages the children from visiting as "there's not much to do". When she sees them, she completely ignores them and sticks them in front of the TV, and then is hurt when the prefer to visit their other grandparents.
Chin up, she doesn't deserve you!

In a moment or two we're off across town to visit the Continental market to see if we can find some lunch.
This afternoon who knows - I was going to sand the windows, but with lo that may not happen, so I may dig out my jam jars instead and rationalise / clean them ready for jam makingGC - March 2024 -0 -

Afternoon all
Had a bad nights sleep, woke at 4am with so much pain in my shoulder I didn't know what to do - I think it may have popped out of place, it does it now and then since a car accident...it went "clonk" after some painrelief gel, painkillers and wheat heat bags. DD's let us sleep in until 9.30am which was a welcome relief...but since then DD1 has been throwing up at regular invertals.....she's just started on the lucozade so hopefully that should help.
Been invited to a BBQ tomorrow - made potato salad, some tomato and basil chilled pasta and a strawberry trifle (well - the custard needs to set before I chuck it on in the morning) They're providing all the meat, which saves us a fortune...luckily I had everything else in so no spends required! Got a couple of bottles of lemonade to take too - no one will be drinking so should be lovely and relaxing.
Hope you're all having a great weekend."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hi all:j
Just waved Rzl good bye at Warrington station so shes off back down to London to take her opera friends by storm with all her purchases:D
Its a good job they dont have a weight allowance on a train or I suspect she would have been in trouble(with the excess bags of course not her:rotfl: :rotfl: )
Had a fab couple of days and I am ashamed to say that I did actually buy the least:o (mind you for Rzl thats 6 months supplies.......for me?........well we shall see:D )
I did have a screaming comp with TMs DS2 this morning :T and I confess I gave DS1 a small glass of pepsi;) (didnt tell TM about the 3 voddys in it though!) we also played a game which involved them jumping over my legs and them getting higher each time so I do have considerable number of bruises to show for my babysitting! so all in all its fun being Aunty Nels (sorry for the distruction TM!! )
So now aunty nels must return to be nels and go to the pub to sit in sun and watch the game followed by a party at a police club later tonight   :T
Can highly recommend this meet lark though those two are :A
hugs to all and anyone who fancies cheshire oaks next week give me shout:D
