OH is out...and he has taken the 2 teenagers with him. Yey. This means I get a nice peaceful morning. I'm hoping that it ends up being a nice peaceful day. At some point I promised to make OH a chocolate cake. its what he wanted for his birthday that was last week. So i might get that over with asap.

Other than that I'm determined to take it easy.

BRZL Just had chance to skim yesterdays thread FANTASTIC NEWS ABOUT YOUR FLAT. I'm so pleased for you & a bit envious if I'm honest, I can remember how exciting it was when I knew I was buying my first place of my very own. CONGRATULATIONS & I hope you have many happy years there.

Vicky & Ajax - have a WONDEFUL day. Lots & lots of good wishes for a long & blissful married life.

Hope you have a great day, Vicky & Ajax - and your husbands-to-be of course! :happylove :heartpuls :happylove

We are having our 25th celebration today. I have had phone calls this morning from MIL & Mum. Mum rang to tell me not to worry about a table cloth! To be honest, until she rang, I hadn't been worrying about table cloths. Now I am wondering whether I should have been! So I am worrying about not worrying about the table cloth
Also had a text from DS1, which was obviously intended for DD, explaining that he was a bit hung over & wanting to know when she was arriving! I rang him saying sorry he's hung over, but he needed to send the text again - to the right person this time:rotfl:
Now off to finish getting things cleaned up here.
    Have a good day!

Love to all, especially Vicky and AJAX 36_3_27.gif, though I doubt they'll have time to read today!!!!!

    Al.

I can't help it, still had to read through some threads... I am just waiting for everyone to arrive so that we can start getting ready. So practically, I am not spending time on this when I should be spending time in something else.

Thank you so much for all your warm wishes. I can't wait to get married! I'll give a detailed account soon :-)

    Have a nice day everyone...

    Morning all,

Another fresh morning here ... although a few clouds lurking .... one more window to fit and then it can rain ;)

Today we were planning on going to the Trafford Centre, Manchester as we've never been before ..... now I am going on my own as DH was up late and is likely to be a grump if he goes, so he's staying at home with DD .... don't worry - I've written a list of things for him!

We have my ma staying over tonight (babysitting) and a mate too ... as we're off to a Cider Festival this evening .. so I don't think I'll be posting too early tomorrow :)

Right, gotta go hang the 1st load of washing out, grab some brekkie and get on the road (it's about 1hr30mins away).

Chipps - mothers are just there to plague you! Wouldn't do without them though :) Have an excellent day, and I hope just the right amount of people turn up.

Tootles - 45yrs ... wowsers, that would have been a lot.

    Have an excellent day everyone!

    Morning all

Vicky and Ajax......Enjoy your days and best of luck for the future.

Chips - Have a great party - if I were you I'd drape a table cloth around me, toga style, when Mum arrives....just for the giggle.

Nothing planned here for today, both DD's came down with full on head colds before they went to bed last night so have been up and down asking for more drinks and medicine. DH was going to go to work but he's just gone back to sleep and I don't have the heart to wake him.

Might take advantage of it being cooler and get in the loft to sort out for a bootfair, or I might just do something craft orientated. Picked up loads of the free magazines they give you at the cinema yesterday - DD's are going to cut out all the good pics and decorate a ring binder each.....they're keeping a holiday diary to take in to school after the holidays.....and of course in proper blue peter style....I've got some sticky backed plastic to cover them in!

We're suffering from very smelly drains at the moment - I'm hoping it's just the hot weather and lack of rain water to flush them through, anyone else having this prob???

    Have a great day all.

11_3_4v.gif Best of wishes for a fantastic day to Ajax and Vicky. I hope that everything goes as planned and that it's the start of a fantastic future for both of you 8_6_2v.gif

I haven't had chance to read yesterdays thread yet - but it sounds as though there's been some good news for Rzl so will have a read and pop back later this arvo.
The forecast rain stayed away again yesterday so cracked on with the garden. Carried on digging the 'bed' until it was 2 foot deep - no mean feat as so compacted. What a workout ! ;) Reminded me of my grandad - he gave me a 'patch of land' (about 3 foot by 1, lol) and I dug it day after day one summer, determined to get to Australia.... Recently my Nan told me that he used to go out at night and refill a bit of it :D Kept me quiet tho'!
My spade broke - and in true Old Style I repaired it (old me would've bought new) Not a simple task either as the screw had snapped in it so I even had to trim and sand the handle so the screw could go through a new hole!
When I finally stopped yesterday I did three loads of wash, desperately rotating dry and damp on the line to get it dry asap as rain is forecast now until Tuesday. Last of it is back out this a.m. but I'm watching carefully as there are black clouds looming..... Have you guys finally had enough of the wet stuff? :D
Postman has brought lots of 'freebies' lately, one of the best was the superdrug pack containing olay moisturiser, Aussi miracle mask, tan wipe and travel tooth paste and also the vouchers for megabowl.
House now resembles the garden - mud everywhere... I want to do a mini flylady challenge, but I think the boys still want to go to a local festival that's on today and tomorrow.... I think given their hard work this week I'd better take them.
Anyone still reading? Sorry it's such an essay, but it's you guys that are getting me motivated to do things and I want to share it all with you!
    Love and hugs to all,
    Kaz x
